    Default Ubuntu 9.10 Screen Resolution

    The max screen resolution I can get is 800x600.

    How do I get that to 1240x1080 ?
    Do I have to install a driver for my Intel graphics card?

    Sometimes you do sometimes you don't It wouldn't hurt to try it, I had to do that when I put Ubuntu on my second computer with an Nvidia. Sorry I'm not much help, I usually use Gentoo instead.

    Hmm, I have to with my nvidia card, so I would try it with intel. Does Intel have a display manager? If so, check that out and use that!
