Default Black Friday - Did you go?

Well I braved the cold and people and went out to best buy at 4:30am. Even though I was there right at door opening I still stood in line for checkout for 30mins+... Totally worth it though. I finally picked up a LCD monitor (my first) for 79.99. It's an Acer 20" Widescreen 1600x900 10,000:1 5ms monitor.... I don't know how Best Buy did it for so cheap, but I love it.

Saw a guy with one of those hand pallet skids with two 42" plasmas, 3 LCD monitors, 2 laptops, and 4 garmin nuvi GPS's... Those were just the major items I saw. His pallet skid was loaded to the brim. He followed about 3 people behind me in checkout. Amazing what Black Friday does to people's buy habits...

    Anyone else go?

I went with my family from 9-12 today, I picked up Assassins Creed 2 ( Always wanted to get the sequel to part 1) and we got some sheets, clothes, etc. Not really any electronics, But if I wanted to get some of them, Today would have been the best day if you ask me. Really. The best.

I went to Best Buy at about 4am with some of my friends, we parked in the back loading lot where the line was wrapped around to, opened the doors and danced to loud gabber music and got some people to join us, then left when they opened at 5 when I felt like I was about to pass out .

Didn't buy anything though even though we went to 4 stores (unless you count McDonalds at 2am waiting for things to open, which was actually fairly crowded).

No I didn't go. But I did really enjoy the laugh you gave me when you said Acer 20" Widescreen 1600x900 10,000:1 5ms monitor. It will die in about 3 months if your lucky, better go get that warranty. Trust me on this one ^^

Edit: Well technically, I did go. If www.hottopic.com counts.

BlackFriday= Day after ThanksGiving Thursday. All store sell everything for really cheap, people stand in line stating at 12AM or earlier, lines wrap around buildings, its crazy, and crowded.

At least here, I couldn't find anything for more than 10% under what you could find it normally if it was over $50.

I believe originally the idea was to get people in the store, lose money for a day, in the hopes that they would continue to shop in that store for the rest of the season. However people shop around for deals in multiple stores more than having loyalty to one store, so when the corporate big wigs realize this (and that the internet is not a series of tubes), the hullabaloo should die down.

    I got L4D:2 for only $35, originally $60.
I got 8 gb micro SD for $15, originally $40.

I got up at 10:00 AM though, too. No staying outside!
