Alright, I've been away from the scripting world for a long time, so I'm having to get used to SCAR again. Previously I had written various scripts, including my most complete script which was an AutoFighter with the ability to talk back to other players (Sadly it was a little buggy and never got finished), but I was never exactly an expert.
Anyway, I've recently become interested in bots and SCAR again, and I've seen that RS2 now has two pretty successful bots that allow the user to do other things at the same time, as one creates a virtual mouse, and the other directly injects itself into the RS2 client.
The problem is that these bots are fairly limited, as writing scripts for them can be more frustrating due to the new approaches they use. Also, with each and every client update, the bots and their scripts often need to be changed completely.
SCAR holds a great advantage over these, however, with the detectability of Silent Mouse, it also has a huge disadvantage - the inability to do other things while a SCAR script is running. This is the reason why throughout my whole scripting career I never once autoed on RS2, as I spend a lot of time at the computer, and the main reason that autoing appeals to me is that I could devote my attention to forums/MSN/other games rather than worrying about clicking every two seconds on RS.
So that leaves me with a question - Is there any relatively undetectable alternative to Silent Mouse? If not I feel I will most likely take it upon myself to write scripts for RSBot, however I would much prefer to use SCAR if at all possible, and I definitely feel I would learn much more from the community here than the community over at the RSBot forums. (No offence, there's some cool people there, but the site is not as well maintained as this one, so there are a fair amount of scammers, trolls, and general idiots there.)
Also, as this is my second post here (though I registered nearly 3 years ago), I'd like to say hey to everyone, and I hope to get to know you all soon![]()
