It was originally illegal because of racial issues. Just like opiates were illegal because the Chinese used them to get work done, and whites didn't want the Chinese there. And marijuana was illegal in south western states like California before any other states, because the Mexicans were notoriously known for smoking weed. That "la cucaracha" song that people only know the "la cucaracha" part is about weed..

Oh, and if you wanna say something about "America being stupid for being racist, and I live in Australia/Europe/wherever, so they'd only make it illegal if it's bad for you," then you should think about that.

Also, the BBC had a short (few minute) video about how humans are wired to respond to marijuana. Which we are. We have cannabinoid receptors in us. And delta-9-THC (the "main" chemical that gets you high in weed.. there are a few other main cannabinoids in marijuana, but they mainly build up on delta-9-THC) gets metabolized in the body, and is made into 11-deoxy-THC and 11-nor (or something like that.. basically the point is that they aren't delta-9-THC). So, prior to popular knowledge, THC does stay in your body for weeks-months, but it's not the same THC (delta-9-THC) that stays in the body. It's metabolized, different chemicals, and they DO NOT make you high.

Oohh.. Joints. Of course. Joints are just marijuana cigarettes. Cigarettes are bad for you in many ways. One of those reasons is the immense heat they burn at. It's far greater than what are lungs are meant to do. Joints burn at the same (roughly) temperature, so the main cause of mouth/throat/lung damage is from the temperature of the smoke, not the actual product. If you smoke out of a pipe, the smoke cools down slightly while it's in the chamber. It's still not the best for you, but it's much better. In bubblers/water pipes/bongs (all three different smoking apparatuses by the way), the smoke goes over the water, cooling it down, and you get "smoother" hits. By smooth, the marijuana smoker means it's easy on the throat/lungs. That's because it's cooled down a lot. Vaporizers, which are the safest way to ingest marijuana, other than eating it orally, vaporize the weed. There's no burning of the substance, it just heats it up so that it'd be not even as hot as if you open up the oven while baking cookies (normal cookies), and inhale the air that was in the oven.

When you inhale some weed you are inhaling million of tiny little red hot balls, this is what mainly causes the lung problems, and I think its the stuff that also makes the leaves sticky (or whatever part of the tree you smoke). Edit - I think this only applies to joints, but I cannot say I am 100% certain about it.

Also, at one part in the documentary the girl got high on pure THC and she was scared, frightened and afraid of nearly anything, it was only until she got high on cannaboids (Or whatever they are called) is when she started to laugh heaps for no reason, but the cannaboids are the tiny balls on the plant that gets really hot and can cause damage when it is lit.

Yeah, but the majority of weed smokers use joints/pipes. But joints overrule pipes, as they are easily made and not many people want to spend a further 15-20 dollars on a pipe.

Haha I remember that video, that was the one where she got injected with the active ingredients right? Shit as hilarious hahaha. Anyway if I remember correctly that was a video made by the UK government and I don't trust any government as it is, nevermind the UK one. Besides, they gave her a really heavy dose and being a first time user of course she experienced bad side effects.

You smoke a lot of marijuana, you MAY HAVE A NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE. If you take a heavy dose of any drug of course there will be harsher side effects compared to if you have built up a tolerance or are familiar with the effects.

Well actually, doctors prescribe pure THC in capsules. They're not used much, as it doesn't give the same effects as marijuana. As you said, when she smoked the other cannabinoids (delta-9-THC is a cannabinoid by the way), she was more of the conventional "high." That's why you don't just smoke a THC capsule.

And you don't inhale weed. That'd probably end up in pneumonia, as it'd get infected in the lungs, just like with what happens to food in the lungs. You burn the weed, which then turns into ash and smoke. You inhale the smoke, which is different from actual marijuana.

You smoke the bud of the plant, by the way. The stems, and leaves, have hardly any THC, and aren't used to smoke, as you'd need to smoke a significant amount of leaves/stems to get high (and they taste terrible, apparently. I dunno. I've never done it because that'd be a complete waste).

Umm.. what else.. Oh. Those "tiny red hot balls" are trichomes (or "crystals"). They're what have the majority of the cannabinoids (delta-9-THC, CBN, CBD, etc.) in the plant. They get turned into ash as well. And that's why vaporizing/water filtration is good.

They're around $30-$600 (low end = normal, handheld vapes, which aren't as common, and high end = volcano vaporizer, which is known to be the "best" vaporizer).

I said they range from $30-$600. Bongs get up in the thousands. And I just found a vaporizer for $20.. and that's about as much as a good pipe will cost, so it's not that they're expensive so much as it takes a lot more time and effort to cash the bowl. (You have to opening it up/take off the screen and mess with the weed in the bowl by crushing it, moving it around and stuff.. it's to make the surface area increase.. and so most people just wanna take a few hits, which only takes a few minutes, and they're good and high. Now with joints, again, never smoked or seen anyone smoke a marijuana cigarette, but they take longer than a bowl, I assume.)

And I was reading comments on an online headshop, and some of the people didn't like the vapes because they're used to smoking. For me, taking a hit out of a bong just feels amazing, because I've always seen people do it, so then once I actually am, it just feels nice. Just like people who smoke cigarettes. After awhile, they don't even do it for the feeling. They just do it because they're used to it.

People are reluctant to change. I first took a hit from a pipe, so I'm used to that the most. And I'd feel silly smoking a joint.

That black stuff is resin, by the way (talking about the picture). It's the left over burnt weed, which you can scrape off, and smoke, if you're desperate.

The only reason why it's illegal in the US is because we were making seed oil and which was much better and cheaper than petroleum. The oil companies used their strength to make it illegal. Then the government came up with why it's "bad"

Thomas Jefferson and George Washington both grew and smoked pot. They even wrote about it. Marijuana has MANY good uses, it can help a man with cerebral palsy be normal while he's high and actually be able to communicate as if there's nothing wrong with him.

Watch a documentary called "Totally Baked", it's one of the best ones I've seen.
