    Default Big Map

does the big map, use the same colors as the minmap?

I was just thinking, that then you wouldn't need to log on to design the walking parts of scripts, you would just need to log on to test them, making the script designer's account less obvious...cause just logging on and standing there, moving 1 click, standing there, moving 1 click again, etc...would kinda stand out to anyone watching...

Edit: just figured out the proper name for the "big map" i meant the WORLD map...

The minimap colors change frequently, this wouldn't work, nice idea though.

BUT, the colors are basically the same, meaning I could design it from there, and then....test it, on the big map, then test inside the game, if it doesn't work with the big map, then it won't work with the minimap, I recon, its a good starting point, but still, tweeks will be needed,

I think its a resonable idea for starting the walk procedures, before tweekings...

I'm pretty sure this has been attempted before.. I think I saw it somewhere while lurking. But I dunno. I kinda just skimmed through what you said. Something about walking with the world map? (It can be done, by the way)

Even a location checking would help some.
There used to be something meaningful here.

YoHoJo, I can't access the first link, I assume I have to be a SRL member to get into that, and the second one, isn't what I am talking about...thats a function that walks you to anywhere, what I want to know is:

can i design my walking scripts using the Global Map, which can be accessed outside of runescape, or do I need to use the minimap?

Would be best to use the real runsecape minimap. Colors are crazy on it (especially roads), and its just the real thing. The big map picture is an 'ideal' . So it would be best to use real MM!

I made a mistake assuming the world map was still accessable without logging into runescape, but unfortunatly, it no longer is, which means that it is not a great option anymore...damn

well you could join it up with photoshop?
ive got a pretty sweet idea about radial walking which could work fairly nicely with this method.

I guess nobody asked for it to be added, and it's still in development
Me and Naum are working on it

*grumble YoHoJo grumble* Miss out my one *grumble YoHoJo grumble*

The world map is still accessible on RS using some peculiar searching and looking
Beware of the big map (4300x3200px)
By reading this signature you agree that mixster is superior to you in each and every way except the bad ways but including the really bad ways.

Too bad it's low quality (.jpeg lousy colors...) and not 100%

that map you linked is not the one they originally had, the one you access after you log in was the one you used to be able to access without logging in, the one you linked to, isn't in the same size as the minimap...which the old one was...
