Well... it's been around for a long time. Since I was like 10, and yet it's only half way over in the story present day... and a new chapter is released every week almost. It's the most popular manga in Asia if not the world and a very popular anime. Although the english dubbed version sucks, Roronoa Zoro (DAM YOU 4KIDS! TELEVISION!) is my favorite fictional character. I hardly watch any TV at all especially anime, but it's one of my favorite things to read/watch for a total of 1 hour a week, especially since it was my favorite show/book when I was younger.

I wanted to start watching it, but then I saw it was over 400 episodes, and lost my initiative.

Yea... you can understand how you would be hooked on it... 436 episodes (supposedly going to be 1000 episodes when finished) once a week for 10 years take a while. @30 minutes each it would take you a very long time to catch up to the current storyline... but it is a pretty amazing plot. I put it in top 5 behind Death note ect..

deathnote was nice, since it was the 2 manageable seasons.
loved it, I'm sure one piece would be good too, but I'm lazy.
