    Lightbulb Hyip

Hey guys! Ok, so...over the past 6 months or so I've been doing research on various high yield investment programs. I've always been curious about various investment things...both the norm (ie stocks, bonds, emerging markets, etc) and other investment programs (the high yield stuff).
Just wondering if anyone else other than me has been dealing with HYIPs.

Oh, and if you're curious about HYIPs you can check out hyipexplorer.com for some interesting information.

I'm currently investing in Genius Funds, LLC. I've got $500 with them and I net about $35 a week in dividends. It's nice for some extra cash...especially if you need to pay some runescape membership costs

Let me know what you think!!

    High yield = high risk.

Where did you get that figure? haha if any site ever said that then I definitely wouldn't invest since it's would most certainly be a scam.

    I've got the $500 invested in their world bonds...so I get around 6.7% a week in dividends. I've got a bit over $550 (since I did the 25% reinvest option a couple times)...so I net about $37 a week.

I've actually been keeping week by week screenshots of both the Genius Funds site (with my account info, earnings, etc) and proof of payment through alertpay. I'll post today's payment screenie (since they pay every monday).

    Here it is:

@Silentwolf - You are exactly right. HYIP are risky since for the most part they deal with currency exchange, commodities, and emerging markets. Technically all investments are risky to some degree, but there are some that are more risky than others.

Korbman: it was on the genius site, i just pressed 100% reinvestment. so it would calculate to 108 except you wouldn't be able to withdraw (I think). got some questions for you.
    1. Where did you exchange your money for e-currency?
    2. Whats your opinion on 180 day investment with 100% reinvestment?

lol I'm still not getting the exact number number as you...but I think I know where you're going with it. If you set $500 for the world bonds...set the investment ratio to 100%...set over the course of 180 business days (so 5 days a week)...you'll get something like $150 per week. This is an average obviously, and the calculator they have uses the best RoI percents. The amount that you end with is higher than what you'd actually get.

Let's take me for example. Let's stick with the $500 example. On average, I get 6.7% per week. 180 days is the investment timeframe (before you can withdrawal the initial investment)...so 180 / 5 (business days in a week) = 36 weeks. At a 0% reinvest rate, I'd end up with $1,206 (36 x 6.7% x 500). That figure doesn't include the initial investment...so technically the total would be $1,706.

Ok, time to answer your questions!
    1) I actually have an Alertpay account tied to my bank account (exactly like Paypal just with less fees). I do all of my transactions through them. I've looked at Liberty Reserve, but they don't deal with bank account stuff...as far as I've seen. They seem to deal with interweb transactions (using currency gained from one site to use on another site) instead of deposits right to your bank.

    2) Honestly it depends on the amount in which you're willing to invest. Back to the $500 example...if I didn't need $500 for such a long period of time I'd say go for it. But I need money each week so I like to get paid haha...plus it's good to make sure that they actually pay you each week. With Genius Funds, you don't have to set a permanent investment rate. You can change it once a week. I'm in a financial crunch right now, so making sure I get every cent out of my weekly payments is needed. Once I pay off my debts and secure a summer job, then I'll probably set the investment rate to 50% or even 100% just to increase earnings.
To absolutely make it worth while (I actually planned this out at one point :P) I wanted to invest $1,000 at a 25% reinvest rate to maximize what I got each week. It would start me off at $45 a week and then increase from there (thanks to compounding interest! haha), and my ending profit was where I wanted it to be.

But yeah, I super satisfied with what Genius Funds does.

I'm more than happy to answer any other questions

Haha it's ok jimmy, I was confused at first too. Anyway, when it comes to alertpay I'm assuming you already have an account there? On your page (the Home page) go to profile, go to financial, and then either to bank accounts or credit cards. Set up your bank account with them (so you can do direct withdrawals and direct deposits) or a credit card number so they know where to charge to (the card will have a limit of $500 btw).
When you set up your account you should make it personal pro and verify it with your bank account. I've been using alertpay for a few years now and I haven't had any problems...in fact I like them better than paypal since they have a simpler interface and don't charge nearly as much for transactions.

I think that answered your question haha
