    Default Linux

I want to have a Linux Live CD, my friend let me borrow his when my computer was all messed up and I gave it back. I went to linux to get it to put on a blank CD but I don't know which one I should download. Which one do you guys think I should I get? Here's a link so you can see which there are: http://www.linux.com/directory/Distributions/LiveCD

it looks like a lot of people get NimbleX, would that be a good choice?

Ubuntu has an awesome live cd, which can be used for pretty much anything!
One of the other most used live cds is Knoppix, you can find it at knoppix.org
If you just want something small and useful though, Damn Small Linux is all you'll need, as its pretty light and fast
I made a new script, check it out!.

Ubuntu or Mint will give you the best support and compatibility starting out in Linux, while still giving you some room to customize/grow/learn etc etc.

    Or try:

KDE is a more flashy environment than gnome, but I prefer KDE, but I'm used to gnome and don't really want to switch .

KDE feels more like windows btw.

KDE is more Live CD friendly imo, and as I said earlier Backtrack 4 is my number 1 pick for live cds, and it's KDE. I use it to recover data easily of corrupt hdd's or to crack passwords, it has many applications and hasn't let me down yet.
