Default Is Making Stupid Clicks Ban-Worthy?

Due to some of my own stupidity, my character sat around making illogical clicks for quite a while. As far as I know, it spent an hour casting a spell on some items that weren't meant for it. The clicks weren't particularly repetitive and all anyone else would have seen was a character standing still not doing anything. Does anyone know if this sort of behavior triggers any sort of automatic system? Thanks.
Wow. I've been gone a very long time indeed. So much has changed.

We do not really know much about their system, but we think that might be ban-worthy. I don't know if anyone has actually tested this much..

Unfortunately, this is how my main was banned, My very own first bad alc script with no anti-ban....while I believe mine sat in this endless loop for 6+ hours, it took them a few days to ban it.....I have, on occasion found some of my other characters stuck in a loop...with the following advice, I have received no bans on these accounts...While I believe Auto-Responders are the best anti-ban protection...it is advised that you play on the account legitimately for awhile...train a different skill, do a quest...and most importantly, talk to people, especialy on your freind's list, and complain of how bad the lag in your connection is, and how you are having problems playing the game ..

    Best of Luck,

    ~RAM

Generally when this happens I wait a week or two and then start again. So far ive only had one ban...and that wasnt from random clicking...

I'm playing the character normally for now. (I would do this anyways. I only auto the most boring bits.) How long should I wait before I can be reasonably confident this incident has passed?

I would wait a week or so. But its all on whether you feel comfortable autoing on it again.

I have had chicken killers walk to lumbridge castle some how and spend hours just randomly right clicking random stuff. It happened more then once and I never got banned for any of them.

In my opinion you may get banned, or you may not. I think with the current system, a fair bit comes down to luck.

Someone reporting you for it will increase your 'chances' of getting banned by heaps (in my experience). My precious account got banhammerd because someone reported me (I'd been autoing millions on it already, without a single ban).

On another account, I got d claws doing ONE thing for a SHITLOAD of hours. Didn't get banned because usually the place is deserted.

Happened to me many times. Sometimes resulting in a ban (70%), sometimes not. (30%)

Yes it does, but not sure what the threshold is.... but appearently a Report by a Legit always triggers the Jagex investigation. All automatic of course.

Thanks again for responses, everyone. Here's what I figure.

It's been half a week. Now the weekend. I'd feel pretty confident if I made it through next week.

The spot is mostly deserted. There's an average of maybe one other guy there at any given time. People pass through to bank, but not many because there's another, more normal bank conveniently nearby. I would have been a guy standing off to the side, a dot on the corner of their minimap. Weird, sure, but I don't expect most people to find it suspicious.

    So I'm hopeful.

You do know that inside SRL/Logs there is a logfile of each session. If anyone has typed anything, it should be there. If you have public chat on, that is.

I'm used to autoing with public off. Probably quite an outdated habit by now. Logs are all empty, or a single line recording the start of a script.

In my opinion thats a bad place to bot. I find crowded places much more convenient. Why? because if someone ask for a level, the more people tell theirs, the more heat goes off you and sometimes it makes them start conversation with each other forgetting all about your char who hasn't responded. In soooome rare case they might pick you out by calling your name but thats rare.

If you are alone with someone, they ask for something, you don't respond and continue doing your thing, they get alerted, they ask other stuff, your char fail to respond, they report you.

I always go in crowded worlds when botting.

I don't believe SRL logs chat anymore?
