    Default learning SCAR

Hi, I am very interested in learning to code in scar, so I can have a basic knowlegde of coding languages.

I want this to be my first language since it seems relatively simple, however, I was wondering how does one LEARN a coding language? to me it seems like a big deal that requires years of work, even for this, SCAR. I was hoping someone could teach me with the prospect. I am ready to learn for anyone who wants to teach me.

    Thank you

    Jek4

You really want to get into SCAR? It's extremely simple.

First off, there's the huge tutorial island. The beginner section is well....really easy. I just stopped using it recently because I learned the syntax for declaring Variables/Consts/Other easy stuff by heart. Go there if you are new to any sort of coding.

The Intermediate section is to teach you about the backbone is SCAR, that is, Color/Coordinate clicking. RadialWalk, TPAs, DTMs, they're all coordinates and colours.

Advanced is, well, advanced. Eventuall you'll get into having a form for your script, and just making it more efficient.

I just started learning SCAR/SRL about a week ago. I'm also close to finishing my first script which I've worked on for about 5 hours. It all depends on your level of knowledge, and ability to learn.

Jek, why not learn a more useful language? I'm not trying to tell you not to learn SCAR at all, and it really is a fun language and a fun thing to do, but if you really wanna get into programming like an actual programmer, you should start with something like Python, in my opinion. I'm not very good at it, nor do I know what to do with it, but I spent a few hours just messing with basic stuff. It's actually amazingly fun to do. ^^

But if you really wanna learn SCAR, everyone here will help. :3

i will eventually (hopefully, lol) but for now, i need to learn, y'know, what learning a simple coding language is about, see if I have what it takes to start with an easier language, such as SCAR, though it isn't the most useful, it still should be fun to do
