Unfortunately you'll probably find that watching yourself play a game that you already is going to be pretty darn boring, and you'll end up not watching yourself play that you recorded and you'll expense on the recording devices will have been futile.
Also, you will probably find that most other people also don't want to watch you play a video game, even if you are pretty good. So don't waste your money, save it for the next popular game to come out so you can play that too. The novelty of being able to record yourself will wear off within a week when you find that you have countless hours of mostly pointless game time. Then you have to sift through all those hours to find the couple minutes of anything that you think is worthwhile, you'll compile an "epic" video of your best moments, upload the beast to youtube...and you'll get 5 views a week, with nothing but troll comments saying how much you suck at the game and that you should kill yourself.
Seriously, don't bother recording yourself playing a video game...
