i am making a name gen in vb.net, but i cont find ANY lists of prefixes, roots, suffixes, and patterns on the internet. anyone have any pointers?

i am looking for one word names that sound cool. like althrizdan or grekxyb or anything along thse lines

lol, that is helpfull but not quite what i am looking for, i want more just sounds, instead of actual prefixes with meanings. like ogres tend to have more bruitish names while elves are weaker/sharper and fragile

I could create a list on my own, but it would take a while, and im not too good at it :P

I know its not exactly what your looking for, but sometimes it comes up with some neat names.

For your names I suggest looking up a D&D name database or something. I don't think the suffixes etc. would create the best of names, but hey prove me wrong if you find a good database for it. I know I've seen a very limited number where u could put them in any order and they would sound good (don't know where I saw it tho) but there was only a list of 20 of each to place in certain order.

...yes i read ur post, and no. i said i need character/fantasy names. not normal human names. who names rs characters after humans... :P.

and to that last post, i honestly had thought that they generated everything on their servers. ill try the source for seventh sanctuum. they are definetly the biggest and best name gen out there.

No offence, but what is the difference between that and the one you are using?

seventh sanctuum is huge and generates more names. also has ability to customize what they mean or how they sound. along with a crap ton of other generators too. like character describer, which describes characters it randomly makes. story ideas. and a crap ton more.
