I have, and not much justifies the upgrade to USB3. If the OP has a external harddrive alright I guess we could justify the upgrade, but otherwise not much will benefit from the speed boost.

In regards to the OP, I'd change that crappy PSU for a OCZ or Seasonic PSU and change your CPU from a 550 to a 555 BE. I assume you are going to try and unlock the cores?

GPU-wise is up for debate. A 5750 will give you more performance but the 4850 is cheaper. Both are good cards though of course.
    There different clock speeds...

But you won't even be using it, I'm sure you won't notice it on performance (might sap some mobo current), but it might be cheaper to find one without it. maybe.

E: there is no advantage to having an integrated and a dedicated one (that I know of), but there are some advantages to have 2 dedicated vid cards.
besides the fact that 99% of the time a dedicated card peforms much better

Good job, your comparing a 200$ CPU to a 90-100$ CPU. Clock speed means nothing when comparing different architecture.

You will never use the bandwidth of SATA2 unless you have two mainstream SSD's raided together, or one enthusiast SSD which both would cost more than the mobo.

Nothing uses USB3 yet (afaik). Only time when spending a lot on a mobo should be a consideration is when you are going to run a multiple GPU setup, in which case you bleed money and it doesn't matter.
i didnt mean u need to spend a crap ton on the mobo. its just the most limiting peice of computer. everything depends on it, so if ur planing on upgrading, you should think about what the mother board can handle. otherwise you will be stuck buying another everything
Sell botted goods at mid to high prices!!! Else we lose our profit AND ruin the game!!!!

I said cheap but crappy... When you take the same dual core 3.2, intel smashes it.

intel may smash it...but they also get smashed in the price department...
I wouldnt say AMD is crappy. Their target market is for low-mid budget people that want a decent CPU.

Actually, Do NOT spend a lot on your mother board. It is proven that this is the one component in a computer that breaks down most often, even the top of the line ones. Just get a cheap one that fits your needs.

BTW: I build a standard computer for 350 and my motherboard broke 3 times over 4 years, read about this on google. Do NOT spend a lot on motherboard.

CPU has the smallest fail rate, at least for intel... Buy the I7 or I5

Alright that is fair, but you won't be seeing much performance difference between different manufacturers. He can spend 40$ on a more expensive mobo, or spend that 40$ where it matters - on the CPU, the GPU or maybe even a SSD.

Look, I have no idea what the hell you are talking about, but AMD wins the performance crown for the 99$ market. End of. If the OP had 5,000$ to spend on a computer, he wouldn't be buying mainstream components.

Maybe you just buy real shitty mobo's but I have a 7 year old mobo here. To be fair it will probably die very soon, maybe a capacitor will just die or something... But generally computer parts don't die in a year, and almost all manufacturers have 1 year warranty, some go up to 3 years and depending on the product and manufacturer, lifetime.

Sometimes you get a broken stick of RAM, a GPU that artifacts, etc etc when you first get them, but you can always return them to get a replacement.

I said they are cheaper then intel, but not as good as intel. Its plain English...

    Word.

My mother board costed only 60 bucks and it has alot of features including Cross fire, ddr3, 6 sata slots.

Edit: Amd athlon x4 2.9ghz is almost as good as the intel i5 and its 100 dollars cheaper.
