    Default Question

Yeah well for my new computer build, the PSU I bought was a cheap one (mainly me looking for a cheap PSU so with the money I save I can get a nicer case) and it blew today. How can I know if it took some parts with it? Im ready to buy a 70$ 650W PSU... Im mainly scared for the cpu and the 5750.

All I know is that 2 days ago I've been smelling smoke coming out of the psu, then that same day our microwave malfunctioned and fucked up our electricity.

The case I have has a red light to indicate if there is power connected to the PC. It only turns on for a few seconds then turns off. I also read the reviews and they are all extremely negative.

The one positive thing is that the 12v rail had a good 2x25w on it.

You won't know til you test them.

Also, this is why I never recommend buying a cheap PSU. Always buy a quality one like Seasonic or OCZ.
