    Default Simba <-> SCAR

    Simba instead of SCAR. What is your opinion about it?

    Imho it's much better than SCAR (3.23). You have just as many functions and procedures as SCAR, plus some more!
    And you have the 'Update Now!' button instead of reinstalling it each time one tiny bug is fixed/one procedure is updated.
    Only downside is that it doesn't have a Bitmap or DTM editor yet (As of 7th of June 2010), but that's being worked on right now (afaik)

    Raymond has exported MML to extensions, so it shouldn't take long indeed

    Well, Freddy codes with Hitler. I think Stalin is the more personable of the two...
    The jealous temper of mankind, ever more disposed to censure than
    to praise the work of others, has constantly made the pursuit of new
    methods and systems no less perilous than the search after unknown
    lands and seas.

    Well, I think both have there betters. Simba is definitely on track to become much greater that Scar; it is open, worked on by a bunch of great people, update button, more comprehensive while coding help, and many more. Scar currently has the up on functions, tools, and longevity. A year from today? At the rate both programs are advancing... Simba will come out on top IMHO.

    @ R0b0t1 > If you pick that view point, I would think Benito Mussolini is the more personable.

    So is this almost it for SCAR? Looks like Simba is going to replace it pretty soon.

    What i love about simba is that it runs on linux, damnsmalllinux, xubuntu and deli linux requires 192 ram to install but once installed it can be turned down to 64, great for multiplie simba scripts in virtual machines.

    Yeah, but the Interpreter stills needs to be fixed with on Linux.

    ^ awww... I failed the redundancy test... good call.

    Without having a more current beta of the newest scar, it is hard to compare. But since it would be unfair to compare a working program to a program idea... simba is taking the lead on this one.

    *waiting for 3.25, 3.5 and 4....
