    Default SCAR And Windows7

    Why does SCAR fail with Windows 7? It sometimes works, and then sometimes it does random things. is there a fix for this?

    More specifics would be nice.

    SCAR worked just fine when I tested it on Win7. And I know many people who use SCAR with no problems (no more problems than SCAR already has, anyway), and SCAR 3.23 was even made on Windows 7, so it's probably something you're doing wrong.

    For me, It always is asking me to send an error report almost every time I stop a script,
    It sometimes clicks outside of the selected box. It will randomly not even run the script at all and to fix it I have to close out of SCAR and open it again then it will work. Maybe it's not Windows 7, Just SCAR in general. I don't know. do these things happen on XP?

    I have gotten the same error A LOT, and it gets pretty annoying. I get errors on different machines when I use scar with Win 7. Which OS are you running? x86 or x64 ? I don't normally get them on XP boxes.

    The prereleases didn't always fix little bugs here and there, but they work.

    The Luna prerelease is pretty old, but I have found it to do basic stuff fine.

    For some stuff there is: http://freddy1990.com/svn/scarprerelease/
    On vacation in NeverLand,
    Code:
    typedef int bool;
    enum { false, true };

    On a Dell OptiPlex 745 Mini form factor pc that I have been running, I used to get that image EVERY time I ran scar for any extended period of time. Also, I would get it more often when I did anything that dealt with bitmaps or color. (not that it is related... and those scripts tend to be running longer anyway)

    New question: What is your antivirus?
    When I was running the latest Symantec Endpoint Protection, I got that message daily. After a few rants and angry thoughts (words), I defaulted off of symantec. I installed AVG Free and haven't been bothered relentlessly by that message.

    I don't even have an antivirus on that comp. lol. It's kind of a computer just for botting and music stuff. If it get's a virus, I re-install the OS lol. I'm thinking about going back to XP... 7 is fast but still a lot of programs have problems with it...

    I run x32 Ultimate and i get a lot of random errors and such.

    An example of one I can think of,

    When I call
    ChooseOption('Tree') (Or anything in there)

    then my script will stop and scar will open a new script called text.scar.

    now it is starting to sound like your files and such may be not properly lined up, installed or maybe corrupted in some way.

    I would suggest saving your scripts to a thumb drive. Installing revo uninstaller (because windows can't uninstall stuff.) and then deep uninstall your scar and then install scar 3.23

    I didn't install SCAR in the first place, I used tortoise SVN. I bet that is why. Maybe I should just install SCAR through the installer.
