    Default Windows 7 AAARGHHHH

    Hey there!

Several months ago I bought a laptop and it's running fine.
I got Windows 7 it's better than vista and it's not the worst OS.
But Windows 7 is slower than windows XP.
It blocks me from doing stuff on my own Laptop.
It's just way to sticky and way to accept this decline this.
I would use Ubuntu if I wouldn't game.
So I am thinking about downgrading to Windows XP(Black Edition modified by me.)

Can I find Drivers for Acer Aspire 5741G?
Windows Xp SP3 does not support my DDR3 memory right?
    Should I do this?
Windows XP gives way way way less networking troubles than Windows 7.
I bought a magazine on Windows 7 networking but still it sucks.
When an PC wants to get into a Windows 7 computer in a network you have to enter User and Pass, when you didn't even set one on your Windows 7 pc.
Does Windows XP Sp3 Supports .Net framework 4
Can you play MW2 on XP sp3?
Does VS2010 run on Windows XP Sp3?
Any disadvantages on changing from Win7 to WinXp?
I have a OEM Win7 Can I save the OEM part from my HDD somehow so I can reinstall it later, so me having legal Win7 and not have to buy another Win7(or download it)?

    Greetz!

if you want to get rid of the accept or decline thing then turn off UAC
    http://lmgtfy.com/?q=turn+off+UAC+in+wondows+7

if it is OEM windows 7 then there will be a certificate in the bios, so formatting the hard drive will not make it an illegal copy, but be sure to have recovery discs or to leave the recovery partion so you can always go back to windows 7

or just install windows xp on top of windows 7 then use a bcd editor to add the windows 7 entry to it so you have both windows 7 and xp

if you dont want it to be on the same partition then shrink the partition then create a new one for xp

You just have to figure out how to use it. Did you upgrade to win7? If you did and now it's running slow then you should go to windows XP sp2 or sp3.

I have been dealing with windows 7 since the RCs. By the sounds of it, you are dealing with the same permission problems that millions of people are having worldwide. The problem with permissions might be that you are not an actual admin.

I can short explain. Ask for more explain if you need it.

This is what you need to do when building a windows 7 machine for full(er) admin rights. You can do it later, but it tends to be buggy.
    - go to "Start"
    - right click "Computer"
    - click manage
    - go to "Computer Management\Local Users and Groups\Users"
    - right click administrator - go to properties
    - uncheck "Account is disabled" - ok
    - rename the admin account to what you want to log in with (cannot be the same as an account you already are using)
    - restart the machine.
    - grab a cookie & eat the cookie.
    - login with admin account, win, disable other if you want, set password enjoy or ask for more.

E: Also... win 7 32 bit will run faster on machines up to about 8 years old. You just have to make minor changes and clean a few things up here or there if you really want it to be super faster.

    Code:
    typedef int bool;
    enum { false, true };

Can I find Drivers for Acer Aspire 5741G? Possibly; is there a 'business' version of that computer? Look around for similar models, you'll be able to scrounge up your drivers one-by-one. Take note, you're going to spend a lot of time searching.
Windows Xp SP3 does not support my DDR3 memory right? No, it does.
Should I do this? IMHO, no.
I bought a magazine on Windows 7 networking but still it sucks. IMO only if you have to mix W7 pc's and XP pc's on the same network. If a network is all W7, homegroups are pretty easy to set up and nothing to maintain.
Does Windows XP Sp3 Supports .Net framework 4 Yes
Can you play MW2 on XP sp3? Yes
Does VS2010 run on Windows XP Sp3? Yes
Any disadvantages on changing from Win7 to WinXp? UI downgrade, no TRIM support (only a gamechanger if you have a SSD)

^ This very well could be an acer problem, but about 80% of the time I find that it is pebcak. * Not that I am saying Hermen doesn't know foo.
