I'm too scared to do the placement games...so I've just been practicing my terran rushes on co-op.

    lol same here

to me, it feels weird how heavily 2v2 n 1v1 games are favored in this game (online). in SC1 i would do 4v4 Fastest games all the time, so it just is different not really having a team anymore

The campaign is very fun, except some missions which are boring. Still I have lots of them to do (they are 26, quite a lot game time). Haven't tested online yet.

Of course! Starcraft bw is my favorite game!

Whats sad.. is my laptop can run the beta semi-well but it doesn't come close to running the actual game

Anyone know if they have confirmed the 3 "separate" discs that contain the campaign mode? I remember reading blizzard releasing a separate disc for each race when they "announced" the release date last year.

Even though the map editor has been out a while, I think its finally safe to say that the custom games are getting very legit. Tower Defense, Footman(zealot) Frenzy, Hero Siege, and some other game modes from Warcraft 3 are being incorporated into the game...and I would say they are amazing. I have probably spent like 17 out of the last 72 hours playing this game, as sad as that is.

So, I'm guessing you've played Warcraft III. How is the Starcraft II gameplay with custom games compared to Warcraft III?

Does SC2 have heavy UMS settings like SC1? I pretty much rarely ever play SC1 for melee'ing. Occasionally I do, and there are fun UMS' that involve melee stuff, but I don't like straight out battles much.

Probably because all the damn asians would always beat me.

It is very similar, but there are new features they built into the map editor of SC2 that make it even better. Even though the campaign of SC2 doesn't have heroes, they are available for use in custom games, and they not only have an inventory but they also have equipment! With what I have seen so far, SC2 could have a way better DotA if someone would just develop it.
