    Talking Building a Whole New Computer!

    Hello, This is going to be my first time building a computer, I know how to install most pc parts and im sure I can learn how. Now I only want to spend about 350 bucks on this project and I need a good motherboard with a case that is cheap and fast! Also I need to know how do I know what kind of power supply and Drives and Ram I need to get for the motherboard. Help is Appreciated

    EDIT: I want the Mother board to support AMD Processor.

    EDIT: Found a Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129066

    EDIT: Found a Hard Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136314

    EDIT: I Found a Motherboard but I am not sure if it will go with the case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-654-_-Product

    EDIT: Found RAM to go with that motherboard: http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartsp...88428BA5CA7304

    EDIT: Found a DVD Burn/DVD Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106334

    Added everything and the total for all of that was: $312.5 Now that is in my price range. But that is alot just for those essentials.

    Ugh, I'd never buy such cheap parts!
    But I'm a gamer, I need the hard core stuff.

    And OI, your HDD won't fit your case! :P You need a 3.5" HDD drive ^^,
    Also Western Digital sucks, in my opinion anyway ^^,

    I take it you're not a gamer, so you won't need a powerful powersupply, nor do you need a powerful CPU.

    CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103687
    This is probably the cheapest useful CPU with fan, you may buy CPU and fan for themselves, but I don't think you'll save any much.

    I think your motherboard should fit the case, but it may be tight with space. Personally I prefer big towers with lots of space and big fans

    Yeh I got a really old system right now and I want to get RID OF IT! I just want a average computer.

    EDIT: I am a gamer I play games like css and gmod and was hoping I can atleast play gta iv on low.

    Hey man, that is a decently nice build for the price you are putting into it. You still need to get yourself a power-supply for your setup.
    On vacation in NeverLand,
    Code:
    typedef int bool;
    enum { false, true };

    Your mobo won't be able to mount onto your case... you need to get either an ATX mobo or an ATX Micro case.

    As for your power supply, get something with like 550W or more.
    What processor are you going to get?

    I feel that since you didn't find everything you need, it is not a good price range. Also, I feel that trying other things like buildamachines would help you out. EX: I built this in less than 2 min. $464 for everything including a 3yrs warranty

    Whatever you DO. Do NOT buy a cheap power supply. Get a good brand.

    Anyways its really much better to spend an extra 300 dollars and make a sexy system.

    Btw, it doesn't matter how cheap the products are as long as it's a real website and brand products.

    Your motherboard is micro ATX, and your case only supports ATX aka Standard ATX. There are alot of cases, so this isn't really a problem at all.
    I would also go for a 1TB harddrive, it's actually very cheap compared to a 500GB, it's like 20% higher price.

    I would use a Standard ATX motherboard. If you're planning to have this computer for a while I would get a Triple channel RAM motherboard for 200$ atleast. You might not need to upgrade it for another 5 years unless you do a lot of gaming though. If you don't want an Intel motherboard, just ignore this as AMD don't support tri channel memory

    This is it. 450$ is pretty cheap for this computer, and it'll let ya run anything that's come out this year without any problems.
    I don't check this place often, sorry.

    I concur. I've built/fixed a lot of computers, the power supply always goes first and I believe is also the cause for ruining some motherboard as well.

    Use the "Best Rating" system wisely for picking out a power supply. Don't be afraid to spend a good amount for one, it will be worth it in the long run.

    I feel the same way. And ffcfoo, if you don't want to buy it like that and you want the exp of actually building it, but the parts. They are known to be compatible.
