I love how everyone still calls him p1nky, even like 2 years after he changed it
Anyway, depending on what the next lesson is i'll join in unless someone who isn't a member wants my slot.
I'd never call him anything other than p1nky.
And is there any sure date for the next lesson and what will be taught?
Okay, here is my thought. I need more organization. Next Thursday is the day. Any time after 4pm AST, noon GMT I believe. But before 8pm AST. Users can pick since almost everyone who showed up didn't show up on time.
Note:
To everyone who was at the last lesson, you all pushed an idea of review (*homework*) and nobody has done it, except heavenguard. It only takes a few minutes, I'm not doing that next time if it's not even worth it..
So I need people to suggest a time that accomodates enough people that I'm not just having a one on one lesson for 30 minutes. I also want opinions on the idea of this:
2 Groups in the lesson. Group 1 starts at the very basics, helpful for people who want to start, as there are a couple people who have decided to start if I give them a helpful push. Group 2 could be an advanced lesson. I've seen lots of SRL Members express interest in learning some new things. I know that a lot of them know either the same amount as me or more, and I wouldn't be a very good teacher for that. If someone more advanced (devs + preferably) would like to teach something advanced at a different time than the beginner lesson (so I could learn too) then we could have an advanced lesson as well as the beginner lesson, which would accommodate a larger audience, while maximize the teaching of the current subject.
So, I don't know if I explained that well, but I'd like some feedback. I need to get organized in advance. I'm removing all the names on the list, except for.. Myhatisblack and Myles, so that I don't sign people up that aren't eager to learn and show up. So just re-post if you wanna be involved again, and you have to offer an opinion on what I just said or I'm not signing you up![]()
I want to do it, but I'll need to be in the beginner's group. And what's time difference between AST and EST?
AST is atlantic canadian time. EST is 1 hour behind it.
Garret u may count me in, im abit better than beginner :P
but i still could use some lessons
I really like the idea about the two groups! What way n00bs like me can learn the basics and be motivated into learning more to scripting.![]()

I *might* be able to make it for about 30 minutes (maybe a bit more). If it was on a Saturday night, then I could definitely be there for the whole thing![]()

Sorry about not doing the TPA homework. I ended up making it much more complex and basically made a nice VEM walker and what not.I don't think I was really the one who needed to do it but when I have time to post it I will.
Can't tonight; girly time.
Hahah no worries. You already knew TPAs, but it was meant to help a few people at least, and yeh.
CAN I JOIN CAN I JOIN? I've looked through some tutorials and those helped to get me started, I'm still doing very basic things, my walking is horribleI'd love to get some help, let me know if I can join in on the fun!
Yes, you're very welcome to join.
To any l33t scripters who are reading this, I'm still in need of an advanced teacher, or I'll have to turn down the 5 people-ish that want to learn an advanced topic..
well i would like to learn all about TPA/ATPA/boundaries cuz i rly don't know anything of it, or how to use it.
so yeah, i would like to do an advanced topic
That was the first lesson.. :x
We did the basics
I still need an advanced teacher. Or I'll just have to group everyone in a big lesson, or try and teach an advanced lesson, even though I don't really think I should be the one teaching it..
Edit:
Here is the chat log of the past lesson, for anyone who might be able to learn from a random discussion
Have to attach a .rar because html isn't valid..

I'm very interested but you'd starting from scratch with me ... maybe there is like a pre-req tutorial you'd like me to do so I don't look like a plug and got lost after the first 30 seconds?
Well I work from 6am until 3pm every day this week, and next. So that's why it is after 4pm AST and before 8pm (I like to try sleeping around 9:30 or 10).
I can't really vary from that, and weekends are the only time I have to hang out with my friends, drink, etc.
If you could read something like this or this it would really help me out so that I don't have to start from the very beginning. Both are very good tutorials which cover a range of topics.
My schedule is pretty consistent:
8am-9am: Physics
9am-10am: Math
11am-12pm: Programming
1pm-5.30pm: Work
like that every day (except different classes and such... but same times ish)
