It's nice to hear that you had fun.
It was my first day of grade 10.![]()
First day at uni? or first day back? What major are you taking... I do biology and chemistry together-- so if you want random bits of advice I'd be glad to share here

Interestingly enough, those at my university who drink barely succeed [assuming they even do], yet the faculty are pretty much ALL drinking machines. I don't know how they got through university.
In year 3, if you drink at ALL and end up missing a day due to a hangover... you're pretty much screwed

In year 1 and 2 of course! There is always time for fun stuff.
Though I did not get one second of pleasure in year 3. It was truly a horrible year... the labs and assignments rape you (I'm in science to clarify). I'm done that year now, but it was a grim year.... and I lost so much health over it. The professors in that year literally destroy you with INSANE amounts of work. I really think the ones at my university are just insane though. They have an unreasonable workload, because I had to get up at 8:30 am and be studying at least a few hours throughout the day just to pass. Of course since I want to go to grad school this required even more work.
Hell, it was the only time in my life I needed to drink coffee late at night to stay awake and do assignments... and I do what you said x[Warrior]x3500 -- I do budget my time [as best as I can]. Just the professors for year 3 at my university put you through the grinder.
Half of the labs are designed so that if you screw up a test, you fail the entire lab. For example in one of my microbiology labs, we had to classify an unknown bacteria. The *hardest* technique for us at the time was the gram stain. We could get no prior practice, but we had to do it 3x and use our data from those 3x to assess if it was gram-positive or gram-negative (aka, if it stained one color, it had XYZ, whereas another color means it doesnt have XYZ). If you got it wrong but all the other tests right... you got 0%. This pins you hard to pass the lab if you fail it because the lab reports are butchered beyond belief. We do learn a lot though, but I can name a few of my friends who failed
Some of them are so hardcore they made us read a WHOLE 650 page textbook and we had to know it all for the final exam... and this was for 1 of 5 courses. WTF were they thinking!? Thats not even possible. I got a C+ in that course (which sucks for me since I was attempting to try and get scholarship money) due to the fact that it ended up being my last exam [after 4 more brutal ones]. As you can see I'm quite content I got by year 3Oh I have so many stories about that one. Epic tales!! [/rant]
Though I'm glad I did, since now I understand what it means to work for something.
Nonetheless as you and Nava said -- ITS DONE!! I can finally get back to the things I've wanted to for such a long time
Now that I think of it, it this post probably explains better why I have SRL old timer and the promising new comer together.
Moral of the story for Marpis: Year 1 and 2 are quite easy. You can even party. Year 3 though MAY be hell for you, but it could end up being rather my institution having an insane core faculty. Year 4 is the easiest... you do nothing. It's all presentations.

Nah
Just got to balance it. I'm 2nd year atm, and I'm barely passing cause I have too much fun lol, but I know people in 5th and 6th year who do the same, and they've survived so far. Dunno how it is at your uni but its fairly hard to get kicked out here...if you fail subjects you'll just have to stay at uni for a couple more years, which basically means a couple more years of fun.![]()
I party, and have fun. Also have a job, and way more hours of school than I thought was possible (35+ hours/week).
Its all about time management. You can do it if you try, friend.
