    Default F1 2010

Got it downloaded, put onto a disc, and then the disc printed on. For now, here's a picture of the non-official disc:

There's one thing which shows that it's not official, but I'll leave to you to figure out

    Now...About the game:

The first thing I noticed was that it took perhaps a bit too long to get going. First off you have to take part in a press conference, where you are asked for your name, and the team you will be racing for. Then you have to talk to your agent. This takes too long, and is pretty boring. There is no real menu. If you are in the paddock (main menu) you look around, and choose what you want to do from that. Getting a race going is too complicated though. There is no, "let's race NOW" button.

Racing itself is not what I expected. Going against what Codemasters said, I don't think it's much of a simulator. The handling takes a short while to get used to, and so does shifting gears if you're using manual. Cars on this game are NOT forgiving. If you get on that throttle one second too early after a corner, you're going to spin out (that is unless you have traction control on).
There are a some driving assists if you're struggling a bit:
    - Shifting (man/auto)
    - Traction (off/mid/full)
    - Race line (off/corners/full)
    - ABS (on/off)
    - Auto-brake (on/off)
    - Auto speed limiter (on/off)
    - Auto pit box drive (on/off)

Not only can you change the assists in the 'menu', but also in-game. There are 6 (I think) views to choose from while racing. The in car view seems a bit jerky, such as when you turn the wheel, but that's a minor thing. While racing, your race director in the pits will give you updates on how things are going. If the engine is getting a bit hot, he'll tell you to shift earlier. If you just overtook someone, you'll be congratulated for it.

The actual FIA rules apply. On a dry track, you need to use both the 'Option' and 'Prime' tyre, just like in real life. Pitting is also interactive. Make sure you hit the limiter on that line, because if you speed in the pit lane, you'll get a penalty. You have to brake before your box, otherwise your pit crew will get hit, and the stop will take longer. Just like joining the pits, when leaving, you have to switch the limiter off. You can also get the crew ready at any point by pressing a button. Unlike most racing games, F1 2010 gives you the chance to fully customize your controls. Most games give you a list of presets, but this game allows you to bind any button to any command.

I'll have more to say about it later on, but that's it for now.

    Richard.

My brother has some printer which can print on discs. Just download the image from somewhere, and place it in a template, then print.

I don't have a 360 but I do have a modded wii with an external hard drive full of free games.

    I just have a question(s).

1: How did you print the image on the disc?
1info: I know there's a type of paper that can be printed on but it's more of a sticker. and it never ends up THAT good. There's lightscribe(which i have) but that only does black and white AFAIK.

2: Is your 360 hard modded? If so, have you had any problems with it?

My wii is soft modded and it was the easiest thing I have ever done. All you need is a SD card and some time(like 30 mins). After modding it, I could never get burnt games to work so I just used an external hard drive to load my games from. I don't like paying for files lol.

Edit: I just wanted to add that the disc looks sooo legit. But could it be played on a 360 that isn't modded?

They are special InkJet discs which come with a thin paper-like layer which go straight into certain printer models (Epson P50).

The 360 has the disc drive flashed with LT firmware which allows it to play copies. Answering your last question, this can't be played on a normal Xbox,.

I use to play Rfactor and F1C 99-02. IMO, the steering assist kills the game if you only have the controller, I am not getting use to that yet.
Any one got it for xbox? Add me Mc Kayha. (Not that good yet).
    Oh Hai Dar
