    I don't think anyone in the server would like to sit over someones shoulder (such as mine) and come back and forth to my beck and call for "this 100 x 100 needs to be lowered by 3". Unfortunately art progresses and is dynamic, plus no one likes being pulled away while they are making something.

    One other possible drawback would be if one is alone working at a place 1 hours walk away, and someone wants help, the person would have to wait for the mod to complete the work. During that time, some tasks for the person needing the land sculpting will have to wait, and therefore time becomes dependent on mods-- which is both unfair to the mod and probably wouldn't be pleasant to the non-mod clients.

    Though I do agree [if stated in the future] that not everyone should have land shaping power.

    TNT isn't land shaping power if the shape you want to build something on is a flat surface. I'd be happy to make flat surfaces for people (or walls, replicate rooms/floors, etc), as I don't have a project of my own.

    I run a small server(like 6 people) and I play quite a bit on other servers. I don't mean to sound like I just want to feel cool being a mod(I know I do), but if more hands are needed could I be a mod?

    Not directed at anybody specifically. But collectively, what do we see as people who should be a mod? I mean, what is the deciding factors in making someone a mod? How much time they are on? How many candy bars they can recite? How well they would be known to respect the power they has? How many mods to we need? .... who is "we"? Just some thoughts. I am not too concerned or anything.

    To expand upon this, people like myself don't need modship, I just need a method to change terrain heights.

    IIRC @ Smartzkid, is there not 4 different settings? 1 = guest, 2 = ?, 3 = mod, 4 = admin? A solution to some of the mod questions could be done by making the whitelist keep people out, giving guests normal power to build anything, class 2 are people who we know are veterans of the game (or at least have the sense not to call stupid commands to nerf the server) and can be given access to certain tile altering commands... this group would include myself and others of the same mindframe, then group 3 is the mods, and 4 is the admin.

    It's an idea on the ground, of course I'm not quite sure of the inner workings (if someone could correct me if I'm wrong that'd save me giving out wrong information)

    There is guest who cant do like anything, normal, op, mod, admin. There is almost never op used on hey0 mod servers though because it just a mod that can't effect(as in kick/ban) mods

    The default limit is down to 10,000 for mods. You can still change it, but be careful!

    IIRC @ Smartzkid, is there not 4 different settings? 1 = guest, 2 = ?, 3 = mod, 4 = admin?     I'm going to open up some of the worldedit commands to veteran users. There will be a hard limit on block change quantities, and it will be very low to start out with - but it's still far more useful than TNT! And yes, TNT will go away.

    My only req for mods is SRL Member and up. This gives me some confidence in their trustworthiness. The rest is really up to you guys. If you think we need another mod, I'll add one temporarily. However, once worldedit is opened to more users, I think you'll find an extra mod is not entirely necessary. (No offense mods - and possible mod-to-be, you guys are awesome!)

    I'm also pondering a bitcoin micropayment system for little stuff like a colored names, etc. Mostly because I'd like to spread bitcoin and I'm curious if people would actually run a program in the background to get perks in games. It's a social experiment

    You still need to do a /setlimit Boreas he just changed the default value for new mods!

    Mine is still 20000 atm.

    Smartzkid: I think to make the auto-map project a little better we should have it where everyday your server runs a script that will upload the whole world folder to my server at a "Only if source is newer" option and then every day my server will check the world folder too see if its new if it is it will 7z it and put it in backups, Then it will run the Minecraft-Overviewer and render the map at http://map.ionoone.com

    I just tried using Cartograph on that 100 mb file... big mistake. My CPU is crying to be terminated.

    Dgby714 -- should I not use Cartograph? I've always wondered how people get google like maps of the landscape

    I'm not sure if you all(or the people running the server) are thinking about making every srl mem a mod but if so, I'm going to have to decline that offer. I just like normal play. Don't want to over complicate things.
