Was just browsing newegg today and saw this, and the specs were ok, is this a normal price for a laptop with those kind of specs? if not can someone find a better priced one?

It always confuses me why people go into wars about how we got here, and where we go when we die.
Imo that's expensive.
My laptop (AMILO Notebook Xi 3650) is a 18.5", Full HD (1080p), 1TB HDD, 7.1 Sound system, nVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 512MB, Dual core processor @ 2.66 GHz and 4GB of RAM costed around 1500 USD at the time I got it
Beats my desktop any day.
Cant go wrong with ASUS.
Anybody have any links to a better laptop with at least i5 processor and 6GB of ram?

^ SRL and runescape. Whatelse??
On vacation in NeverLand,
Code:typedef int bool; enum { false, true };
You don't need a i5 and 6 gb ram for that.
Video editing, thinking about getting a mac for a desktop later. (later meaning in like 8 months)

GPU = Price premium. Worth it though!
Interested in C# and Electrical Engineering? This might interest you.
I personally wouldn't edit videos on a laptop but its definitely possible. I am guessing that means you will also be encoding it on the laptop too? Sounds sucky.
My opinion: Buy a nice portable laptop, buy a not-mac desktop later unless you like shitting out money. A desktop will be a better video editing machine no matter how much you drop on a laptop, and by 8 months you will see sandy bridge. Heck, maybe even Bulldozer will be out by then.
