    Default Mam

Oh n0o! They're coming for us!

When I read this I got an image of a scene from shrek where all the peasants tried to hunt him down with torches and pitchforks. Sounds like it would be fun to go watch.

This was from one of the runescape forums.

I am forming a new group, called the Movement Against Macro (MAM) Due to the fact that there are so many macros.
For example, in a nonemembers world, go round the castles. They're there.
Go to a none member Rune Essence mine, they're there!
I think we should take action against them!
I know what you're thinking.. this is suposed to be in the Clan Reqruitment forum, but no, it isnt.
Because this will be the first meeting, and THEN we will post this into the Clan Reqruitment forum.

The MAM will come up with different methods of stopping macros.
We will report many macros too. But before we can do so, we must have some evidence.
So, call their name three times. If they don't answer, try some other methods. The other methods are the reason we're here!

I would also like any moderators to be part of this team, and also discuss different methods with the rest of the team.
The first meating is held today, 6pm GTM (Conversions will be added shortley.)
The meeting will be at Varrock castle, top floor.

    -Time Table-
[+]Meet at Varrock castle gates, 6pm GTM
    [+]Wait for others to arive (6:00pm - 6:15pm)
[+]Discuss different methods, for the MAM
[+]Take action against them. Putting our methods into use, in various macroing spots around Runescape, in various worlds.

    Meeting world:- 71
Meeting place:- Varrock gates, then varrock top floor.

We hope to see you there, and we hope to see moderators there also, to share their methods.

ANY person who leaks the movement world, or raid world to any macros, will be kicked from the team, and isolated from all future meetings.

    NOTE TO MODERATORS:
If this thread is against the rules in any way, please lock this thread.

    Hope to see everyone there!

    Yours,
    Nathan

lol true. and yes i guess if you auto correctly then it wont be a problem, so it might actually help some of us here because the people that dont take care of their army will get banned. but what about scripts that dont have talkback?

Lol. They only had 4 or so people signed up so far I thought it would be funny to fill their ranks with macroers and piss them off.

Their ring leader seems pretty dumb and pretty convinced that only noob accounts macro. As long as our scripts aren't ridiculously obvious (walking along the same wall/fence/water every load) then I doubt they will even think to question you.

Heh, it'll be nice to clean out all the leechers who have started macroing

I guess I might join, and leak some worlds...How does he think he's gonna find who leaked anyway? *POP* OMG U T0TALY L33K3D TEH WRLD!! WTF DOOD!

yes, but he said they would call your name three times, and most scripts dont have talkback. so maybe we could start putting in the scripts if someone talks "hey" or something then say "sorry im really busy cant talk"

The SRL devs have one, but it isn't public. I'm working one one right now which I think is actually legit pretty good.

The problems with making auto-responders that I've found are:
    1) Someone saying hey, you saying hey back. Then responding over and over to yourself.
    2) If someone says tells a joke, I had it respond to a variety of laughs. But if it is really busy then multiple people will laugh, and then you keep laughing a bunch of times.
    3) Someone saying a word like 'behind' or 'fishing' scar senses the hi and says something back.

These are fixed now though. Right now I'm just adding additional phrases to the vocabulary, then I'll make it public it if I think it is good.

I was just trolling through the forums and these are some other funny macro-related things I found.

    1) It's amazing how uneducated these people are about what we do. You'd think they would before they started acting like they know what they're talking about

King Rom, that is the point for the multicolored areas/portals.

Macroers to the best of my knowledge use a program that corresponds a certain color with a task that is set to be completed. for instance a macroer cutting yews would have his program paint yews pink, then the macro circumvents the mouse system and "clicks" on anything of the same shade of pink as the yew trees. Then after the inventory is full there is another path that is a different color that forces the player to go back to the bank and deposit.

If everything is multicolored this will confuse the auto program as most likely one of the colors would show up and the autoer would be forced to that spot.

According to some however, our methods have become much more advanced than color picking...
If you have any of these methods, pm me pl0x
Sorry to tell ya this, as I like the idea, but color detecting macros have been gone since beta RS2... They are much more advanced now...

And this genious has certainly figured out one of our "staples of macroing"
    They're on to us guys!
Exile master, regardless of whether or not color detecting macros are still around, I believe that one of the staples of the macro is the ability to circumvent the 1 minute 30 second auto log off time.

And last but not least, one of our friendly admirers explaining our motives to the community.

When I find someone admitting to autoing I usually call them a cheater, etc. so that they understand that not everyone thinks autoing is ok in rsc. This usually takes the person by surprise since they assume that I auto as well when they admit to it. After hearing from me that I think they are cheaters and ruiners of rsc, they almost always use the excuse that they auto becuase they "have a life".
If you think about this statement, it really makes no sense. Obviously the person who autoes cares about the game of runescape because why else would they be training on a game that they cared nothing about? So this person who apparently has "life" cares so much about runescape that they are willing to download programs onto their computer in order to CHEAT AT A GAME. I have a real feeling that those people that auto have such low self esteems that they feel the need to cheat at a video game to give themselves a feeling of self importance. These must be truly sad individuals and I feel pity for them.
The other type of person who may auto is another rather pathetic individual. The person who would auto a character for the sake of selling it to another person. If the best employment a person can come up with is to cheat at a video game in order to sell a character from a video game to another person for real life money, they must have very little life skills. So little that they cannot even operate on a level where they can comfortably move up in a social ladder in real life.
In either case, the real no lifer is apparent since a legit player plays runescape for fun while an autoer plays for a lack of real life accomplishments.

This 'problem' will fizzle out on it's own when they get bored. Plus as said before, it won't be a problem if you auto correctly.

Maybe we shoudl start the Mantaam
Movement Against Noobs That Are Against Macros.
Our goal is: infiltrate into Mam (easy), destroy the leechers (help the mam a little bit) and let these guys know that we are smarter then they are (do they even know what scar is?!?!)
Current list of members (we should kill them every time they come in the wildy :-P):
    - Nathanater9 (Founder)
    - 2 P 8 D (Co Founder)
    - Vampirehunt (VIP Member)
    - Dood495 (Member)

    BTW new news:
    -Recent News-

Well, it's the official grand opening of the M.A.M, and it seemed to be a good one!
The next meeting is this friday, And I expect to see ALL staff there!

Further infomation about the meeting time and place, will be held through the Personal Message system.

Any other Quieries about the above?
Pm me (the anti leecher) or post (so we can read it).

edit: Look what a someone says about autotypers:

I completely agree with you! Seeing someone typing a full sentence in blinking colors every second makes me mad. It is obvious they are using a third-party program.

I never thought of it as macroing before, but after reading your message, I realized it is macroing indeed. I intend on reporting those people from now on!

It looks to me like the thread is gone.. If they started a new thread, I say someone shows up there and just tells them all the wrong methods. Just tell them to look for level 3's with default clothing. However, tell them some people do have chats off so don't report them because they don't talk.

Make that into a guide/tut, and add stuff about reporting for other rules, and spread around the legit fansites.

Brilliant! Maybe if I have some spare time sometime soon...I used to be on RuneHQ...

I'd be glad to screw anyone who *obviously* knows *everything* about autoing

hah i could imagine a site like this seeing how its anti-leecher, closing all doors when the real fight against autos starts on rs (meaning arga, and other java bots are PERM shut down) if jagex even is smart enough to do that -.-, but back to what i was saying. i could imagine this site closing all doors, becoming a completely private l33t auto site with new srl and yea.. lol i bet there about 100 sites with things like srl(maybe better?) that are private.. ha i love how noobs like to act like they know about autos/hacking. i once witnessed some1 telling ppl that us autoers work for the FBI and we use l33t computer programming skills to auto on rs and sell for money because our government is in debt.. rofl i wanted to shut him up so badddd but cant give my identity away -.-

    hahhahahahahahawoowwhhahawowhhahaowwhhahwowhaha *chokes*
    *dies from laughing*

    admit it...
those guys that are reporting autos are outnumbered 1000 to 1

so it will be a while until their actions can even begin to touch us!

oh yea and to those MAM people.... and

    They are sisters...
