This is a discussion of whether or not Evolution is real. There were no rules set up (not to my knowledge) to determine what we can include in the discussion.

My opinion is that i don't have one. I like the idea of a god, mainly because i know i will die and if there is a god, i know i will go to heaven, but i hate to be wrong because if i die, i'd have wasted a large chunk of my life to religion.

Now, i believe that the darwism theory to be correct, but i hope its not for the same reasons as religion (what if im wrong? Ill go to hell).

sigh... ok.. i just read 5 pages of this .. and here is what i say to you that read the bible... here is a short story of a debate me and one of my christian friends had.... ok the bible.. it is the word of god ..correct? yes.. lets take another book into example.. just for example, one of the harry potter books.. well you know what.. i dont like magic thats used.. i think it should be this way, so i change it, now harry potter uses magic the way i think magic is supposed to be. someone reads my version of harry potter... they dont like the outcome of the book.... so they change it.. so now its a different outcome..etc etc... now who is to say that NO ONE has ever read the bible and said... i dont like this part and so they changed it.. and i told my friend this and he then said,"well the book is gods holy word and he wouldnt let them change it" what is he going to do? stop them...smite them? strike them with a bolt of lightning? but if he did that then he wouldnt be the god that everyone says he is.... he wouldn't be the merciful forgiving god..he would in fact turn out to be a cruel dick.. and god cant be a cruel dick or no one would want to worship him..so my point is.. the bible is text.. Lol well the truth of the matter is many "christian" religions have done that to the Bible. Many of them say "I had a vision about this and God told me to do it" but unless ur a complete moron who really hasn't actually read the bible or understand the whole "christian" beliefs thingy your obviously not going to believe them as it is clearly stated that the Bible shall never be changed and what it says is the only truth. Now I know ur thinking well that stuff could have been changed long ago and we wouldn't know, except most of the stories in the Bible are just stories, examples or parables and the ones that are true believe it or not actually have evidence.

E.g. Scientists have found evidence for nearly every single one of the 12(?) plagues. There are many other things that stack up with it as well.

Every religous text i've read from which the religion isnt a hate religion (IE satanism, but there are some values of what im about to type) basically have the same meaning. Love thy neighbour, don't kill, don't do to other like you would want them to do to you (yeh, sounds christian but its easier to type) and tolerance for others.

They say not to kill, else you'll go to their form of hell.
They say not to mistreat people because they are of a different race/relgion (love thy neighbour, it can be down your street, your town, the country next to you, the continent next to you, the communists across the world). YOu must embrace their views but keep your own.

So yeh, most of it is just about being moral and just, about being kind and tolerating.

Nothing about which we have today. We have christians saying that god is killing soldiers because the country accepts gays into its cultore. We have islams killing everyone because they believe that if they do, they will go to paradise (when infact if they were to read their book, it would say "kill others and you go to hell" and "commit suicide and you go to hell") because they have been trained by hate preachers to do so (who use the same book to justify them).

Evolution is true. Why? Because there is evidence of it from old fossilized bones. When you take the cranium for example, of a human. You can see that the Cranium has consiederably changed over time. What happened? Evolution.

The jaw protrusion, the angle of face slant, the saggital crest and the brow bone are have all changed and some of those listed have completely disappeared. The number of teeth we have has changed and more importantly the types of teeth too. As humans became civilized rather than nomadic barbarians their lifestyle and food habits changed, hence the introduction of new foods such as plants and grains. This led to the variety of teeth we have now such as Molars, incisors etc.

Now, onto How it happens.

A theorist called Lamarck(sp) came up with the theory that changes that occur in the parent are carried onto the offspring. Meaning say if my father worked out and had a six pack, when I was born I would too be born with a sixpack. This ofcourse is not true and ofcourse evolution did not occur this way. Spontaneous birth change is not possible. What happens is that changes are gradual over time. The body knows what it needs to do and what type of body setting is best. Genes are adapted accordingly and if the human race is placed side by side for each year the change is apparent. These days humans are less compelled to work hard labor. These days we have comfy office spaces with leather chairs. The result? Humans will sometime later in the future will not have pronounced musculature.

The latter point is a theory and is not yet proven, everything else I said is.

More on that note, I felt I did not explain this clearly.

The Genes inside a person mutate, change, a tweak here and there. And the baby is born. Then through Natural Selection, whichever one happened to have gotten the change that was best for the environment survived.

Example:

Humans are living in a lava covered land.

A gene inside Person A tweaks so that its offspring will be able to tolerate lava.

And

A gene inside Person B tweaks so that its offspring is more fit for cool weather.

When both offspring for Person A and B are born Person A's offspring will most likely survive since it is most suited for the climate while Person B's offspring dies off. This is how Evolution works, the human with the best genes survive while the weakest die, then the surviving one reproduces therefore spreading his superior genes. This is an endless* cycle that goes on in nature.

* Endless Cycle - Derived from observations in History, theoretically its not possible to confirm the future, but its most likely evolution will not stop.
