    Red face File Assosiation/Coruption

Hello, I have a problem,(duh). I am really interested in what SRL and want to try out a script to see how they work. My only problem is that I cant open/download any scripts. Simba is installed and works fine, but i am unable to write my owns scripts at the moment (or they stink). when i try to open the script files at the bottom of the script pages I get sent to this wepsite

    http://shell.windows.com/fileassoc/0...r.asp?EXT=scar
    OR
a box will pop up saying I was unable to open the file, it might be corupt.

I am interested in getting into this community, but dont know how to fix this problem, thanks for the help!

That's because you are downloading a SCAR script.
And TRYING to open it with SIMBA but it doesn't realise that Simba can open it.
    Sensible Option: Use Simba scripts.
Non-Sensible Option: Download the script, Open Simba, click open then find the scar script.

For the latter option I can't guarantee the script will run/work.

    Hope I helped

Ok thanks for you reply, I kind of understand what is happening, but when I try to run simba scrpits, like a certain someone's essence miner (yours : ) ) this is what i get

    Unable to open file “C:\Users\My Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\ Low\Content.IE5\G58CBKQN\Ess%20Miner%20[BOOM]%20V2%20RS[1].simba”.

Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption
Press cancel to kill the program

Once again, thanks for the help

If I'm right, this extension now comes with Simba. So if you want to adjust Simba for opening Scar files, just go to your extensions folder and open the file association extension. Change the string to make sure it supports the Scar file extension (add ",scar") and reload Simba. Enable the file association extension through the extension dialog (if you haven't already) and click Tools > Associate File Extensions.
    Hup Holland Hup!
