    Default Jagex vs Impsoft findings

Order here, filed Aug 16, 2010. Did anyone else catch the news? Or was I the only one that missed it?

In accordance with the foregoing, defendants' motion to dismiss or, in the alternative, to transfer venue (Docket No. 16) is DENIED and plaintiff's motion for preliminary injunction (Docket No. 22) is DENIED.
    Docket 16 (pg 4):
    A. Defendant's Motion to Dismiss [Docket No. 16] :
The defendants have moved to dismiss the plaintiff's claims on grounds that 1) the Court lacks personal jurisdiction over the defendants, both of whom are Florida residents and do not operate any offices or manufacture their products in Massachusetts, and 2) venue is improper in Massachusetts. Alternatively, they move the Court to transfer the case to the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division.
Concerning docket no. 22 (pg 11), there is no summary provided, although the first paragraph(pg 1) of the document describes the terms pretty well.

Here is the official complaint filed by Jagex about a year ago.
The terms "copyright and trademark infringement" sums it up.

In more recent news, a motion to quash was filed by jagex on Feb 1, 2011, in Florida this time. Look here.

    Definition of quash:
A motion to quash is a request to a court to render a previous decision of that court or a lower judicial body null or invalid.

Impsoft swept this under the rug pretty well, there's no hint of it on RSCA or any reseller sites. I wouldn't mind seeing Impsoft go down though, they've been on top for far too long.

I don't know whats "bloated" about it, but ya.

Plus, you research the scripts and authors a bit, don't buy crappy scripts or scripts that don't get updated, and you don't need support.

I meant they often run into problems with iCredits or reflection hooks and take far longer than necessary to resolve them.
