    Default How about another compo?

Back in the old days, the scripting competitions were a lot of fun. In fact I even made a powerfisher for SC #2 back then (wow, I completely forgot I actually made that thing ) and was happy to see me being ranked #2 right behind The Claw. After all, he was the dev and I was only SRL Member for a few months. It sure was fun to do it.

However, since then a lot of members left and a lot of new members arrived. So I was wondering, isn't it fun to have another one?
I can judge those scripts so that wouldn't be a problem. This time reflection will most likely be allowed so laziness isn't an excuse for not competing Also I don't mind allowing both jr members and regular membs.

So, who wants to join regular SRL Scripting Competition #6 with an actual RS script as goal in mind?
Also, shall we make it a fully open contest (you can submit any script) or do we have some brilliant ideas for things we want scripted? Nothing p2p only please, might scare participants off!
I made a new script, check it out!.

Sounds nice, but perhaps some sort of preset idea; it's hard to grade in a fair way otherwise.

I'm agreeing with having a goal. Free style might be a bit wild to judge.

    Couple of ideas:
    - Dungeoneering script
    - Tutorial runner
    - Rune Mysteries completer

I'd also happily be judge if need be.

If there is a competition, I would join. And nobody has written a tutorial runner yet I wanted to write one, but I thought it had already been done!

I'd definitely join in if the goal is a tutorial runner.

I would be interested in joining any type of open competition. Since I'm still a newbie to scripting, I would look at the goal as extra practice.

But te ideas of either a Tut runner or a Rune Myst completer sounds fun, the Tut runner would certaintly take a little bit more dedication to get the timing correct.

Sounds like a pretty hard script. A miner can already be quite challenging if you want to make it a good one.

But it's done a million times already, and we need a good tutorial runner more than yet another good miner

I think a tutorial runner is something that could be tackled with MSI or another collaborative effort.

Something like this should be something simple that someone could really make super awesome accurate or run wild and make it super extensive.

I was actually thinking of saying a `Power Skiller` with the basic skills covered, Mining, WC, and Fishing.

tut runner is too easy tbh(its nothing at all compared to the old tut island), maby a "all in one" script for a specific town, like draynor or fally

rune mysteries and the tut are both >5 mins to do yourself tho :P not long at all.
maybe something a bit more... substantial? just my opinion. but i will not be competing. im curious to see the outcome and what kinds of scripts are made however.

Also, I think you should make it a script that is one of the main skills (mining, fishing, woodcutting, cooking, firemaking etc) but make it a specifically hard place xD

Why make it hard? If we make it easy more poeple enter and get active but also the best of the best make it GREAT and super, and poeple would use it as its would be a easy place which is normaly common
