Default Green dragons post Feb 1 '11

So I'm pretty broke atm. I bot what I can but i'm terrible at botting for money (fixing that right now though working on getting mining from 81 to 85, I got 82 today while I was at school), so I figure I may as well do something productive while I play by hand.

I have pretty high combat stats (99 attk, 90+str, ~90 Def, 95 hp, 70 prayer, 68 summ), and I used to be pro at killing green dragons before the update.

My question is, how do you guys go about killing green dragons now that there's not such a close by bank + pkers out and about? Don't tell me to go to the chaos tunnels, by the way.

Most people just do blue dragons now since it's safer.

I've tried, it's way too slow for my tastes, especially if I'm going to be wasting my time playing by hand.

All of the green dragon spots are in the wilderness, so you will have to risk getting pked or move on to a different type of dragon.

Although you could try and sneak into the wildi on a Brazilian world or something, don't know if that would work out.

I had to do Green dragons today as a Slayer task and had trouble with pkers over and over. I got killed once when i stopped to light a blunt (forgot I was in wilderness) and lost a whip and others shit, but also killed the next pker that came along once i rebought equipment. Most pkers dont assume you bring super pots with you .

I do a combination of barrow runs and chaos dwarfs for making my main income. Barrow runs I do rapidly (with ice barrage + alter/kanfis teleport in my POH), this methods requires no prayer potions and very little food (3-5 monkfish/sharks), and takes around 15 minutes per run, which is pretty fast. Chaos dwarfs you'll have to do "Forgiveness of a Chaos Dwarf" quest in order to fight them, but they drop hand cannons, hand cannon shots, lots of charms, and of course the Dragon Pickaxe which usually hovers in the 10m'ish range. I had gotten ALOT of Ranged exp off doing this method and 3 dragon picks / 11 hand cannons so far. They'll be aggressive at first so you'll want to protect from ranged, but after 20 or so minutes the aggression goes away. Just DO NOT attack the black guard dwarfs, they'll raise hell against you if you do! Also, another tip is bring bones-to-peaches runes/tabs as every kill drops bones.

If you guys have questions about barrows just ask me on here, I have no secrets to hide.

Ogre, I usually get a minimum of... 100k/200k per hour, and potential of well over 20m per hour. This will especially be a great method when Rings of Wealth are soon to be updated, as they will effect the chances of receiving rare/barrow items from the chest.

I think I'll just make a quick guide on how I do barrows on a new thread, when I'm done with it I'll link it here.

I would love to see that. I tend to not touch minigames until I know they are worth it and know the best way to do them.

As to losing the whip, pkers were fucking with me the whole time, and when I beat one and he ran off, I attacked his friend. After he ran off and I went back to dragons (after restocking) I was killed with skull.
