    Sup.
Is the extra str of bandos set worth the spend?
It is a big ammount of cash, with that i can get a full dragon set so what is better?

    Bandos set + SS

Bandos gives an extra strength and prayer bonus, Dragon just has better defensive stats (except for range). It all comes down to your opinion really, but I personally would go with bandos.

I just sold my bandos, I think they're highly overrated. Simple, cheap barrows armor has yet to fail me and as far as defensive bonuses go, it puts Bandos to shame.

The prayer bonus i wouldn't even use it. But is the extra strength an actual real difference?

Why do you prefer the bandos set?
to me it sounds like a better defence (Dset) is better for training?.

    Thank you in advance.

It depends what you combo the barrows with. If you have it with a helm of nezzy, dragon boots, barrows gloves, strength ammy, fire cape, (all the best strength items if you haven't pickup up on it) then it can be really effective for high hits. If your looking for high defensive stats, then go with dragon or barrows.

Don't ever buy dragon unless you are limited by < 70 defence. Full Torag is somewhere around 2m and it just dominates all other armour in both the defensive and cost efficient categories.

Full dragon looks way more awesome tho, especially with gold trim ornaments!

Bandos has crap def bonus and a strength bonus that you can live without i don't think it's really worth the money.. I'd rather use something like dragon or barrows when it comes to doing something like slayer because you usually last longer and don't have to bank as often.

if you can spend the cash and will use it for stuff like rushing, then get it. else stick with barrows stuff.

I'd suggest either getting Torag's or Dharok's for melee armor. Bandos may be situationally worth the extra price, but I've always preferred more all-around useful armor.

The full set ability of Dharok's can far outweigh the bonuses from a Bandos set (even with health around 50-75%) using a similar weapon, and the standalone armor has defense almost comparable to that of Torag's; in fact, the stats for the plate and legs are identical between the two, so if you use a non-Barrows helm (Nietiznot, Slayer, rare, light source, ect) there's no difference in defense. Also, Dharok's plate and legs are more aesthetically pleasing IMO. I like Torag's helm better, but I usually do a non-Barrows helm unless I'm using the set bonus.

As for the set weapons, Dharok's axe has good slash and great crush and strength but has 2H speed; Torag's hammers have OK crush, and the strength and speed are comparable to a D long (in which case you should just use a D long--or a better one-hand weapon like a whip or D Scimmy--and a defender).

And for prices, it is worth noting that Dharok's set is 3x-4x more expensive than Torag's. This price difference comes almost entirely from the difference in the prices of the helms. If you have 55+ construction, I'd highly suggest buying the parts separately and broken, then repairing them yourself. Sets are more expensive than the sum of the parts now that free trade allows a price difference between them, and a broken part+NPC repairs is cheaper than buying the part at full; by repairing at a POH you save even more on this step no matter what your smithing level is (obviously higher smithing = more money saved).

The tl;dr: If you're looking for pure defensive capability using a non-set weapon, and/or are looking for economical value, Torag's is the way to go. If you want both offensive and defensive capability (with and without the set weapon) and a good set bonus, and don't mind paying extra for it, Dharok's is the way to go. If you have a good amount of money to toss around, I'd say mix Torag's with a Bandos Chestplate and Boots and use the Godsword of your choosing.

The tl;dr of the tl;dr: Dharok's is much more useful and has comparable defense to Torag, but is more expensive. Bandos will be more useful for GS'ing exclusively, Barrows for everything else.

The tl;dr of the tl;dr of the tl;dr: Get Dharok's.
Long ago, the '90s Nicktoons lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the century turned. Only Avatar, the best of the 2000's Nicktoons, could save them. But when the channel needed it most, the show finished. Four years passed and Mike and Bryan created the new Avatar: Legend of Korra. And although the show itself is great, it has a long way to go before it can live up to The Last Airbender. But I believe Korra can save Nickelodeon.

It costs 20m+ for a reason.

Replace your ss with a whip, unless you're specifically training strength.

Because most groups use LootShare so very few of the actual item enter the game, coupled with the fact that long-term merchs and rare-hoarders have enough money to single-handedly cause massive inflation among rarer items?

Using Bandos over barrows/dragon/etc is like a 3-4% increase in DPS.

If you do your math you'll come to the conclusion that yes, bandos is worth the price tag. Now if you don't care about efficiency and getting the best possible exp per hour... that's another story.

    Do you mean coinshare? http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/controls_lootshare
The items received and instantly sold by coinshare are still getting in the game, they just automatically go to the GE.

Im not sure how it is now because my main from back in the day has been banned and im a low level now. But when i was still actively a beast in runescape (lols) i calculated that the best stats come from torag + dragon square(idk maybe theres a stronger shield now) i quit so im not up to date yet...i know that torag has better defensive stats then dragon.

Torag and a shield is dumb to use. The only time you want to use a shield is for boss hunting, the other 98% of the time most monsters can be killed just fine in full bandos with a defender.

The only thing is, unless you already have 45m on hand to buy it, would the time it would take you to accumulate that wealth worth it versus the time it would save you training melee? For example, i'm only around 12 million xp from 99 attk/str/def, and I don't have much money. So it would be faster for me to just stick with my whip and torag's and get the 99s.

Except when you buy bandos, your 40m doesn't disappear. You can always resell it back later.

I'd go with either void or barrows armor, and use your cash on supplies for skills or whatever. I always have a stash of backup money that I basically never use incase I'm in need of it later on down the line. I think that's just the wisest reasoning you can use.
