    Default Becoming a [SRL] Member!

Becoming an SRL member is what I really want to do. Fortunately to me I already know how to script within SCAR. This thread is an intend to encourage others to attempt to become a member, and questions for the already members of this lovely community.

My question is, how it up there [not really a question yet]

You may ask why I dont submit a script. My answer is scurred of rejection
I'd like to ask, what do you guys look for in the "script", and is that really what relies on the acceptation.

Here are some scenarios I thought of how I'd become an SRL member.
I write a killer script, but no Multi Player.
Say if I continue that Killer script, and it becomes successful.
But then what If for an example I used codes from other scripts, like the anti randoms, but I give credits on the code I have in the script. Would that lesson the chances of me getting in?

Ill add some more of my thoughts. Thanks for reading

    Default

    Anti randoms
    Multiplayer w/ switching
Standards (just so we can read and judge quickly)
Some procs/funcs besides mainloop/delcareplayers/antirandoms/autoresponder that are orginal and not simple. This is usually the rock finding etc part.
Use SRL functions where appropriate to show that you have read through it

Basically show that you know the basics of scripting, of using SRL, and of writing/debugging your original code.

If you write an a complex p2p 1 player script, with anti randoms etc, but no multiplayer, submit 2 scripts, write a simple powerchopper/miner with player switching, just so we know that you know.

A few of us also look at your posts, to see your attitude. You don't need to be a saint or help everyone in scripting forum or have a bear cup, just not a jerk.

Like Boreas said, is exactly what most good SRL members look for in appliances.
And don't be scarred about applying, lots of good SRL members now were rejected 1 or even 2 or 3 times.

Don't think of rejection as a sign that we hate you.
Its a sign that we care.

Good SRL Member such as Boreas and I and others don't just say
No Not good enough try harder
We give you constructive criticism on aspects of your script which can be changed or improved.

So if you have a script done, and it runs, and has all of the features listed above, then why not apply and give it a change?

What doesn't hurt you makes you stronger.

    Love,
    Yohojo

@Boreas: Im a jerk! But im still sooper cool. RIGHT?!

A jerk would be not helping/giving CC at all. You're just tough, which is needed for leecher nubs.

Thanks for reading the tut Godfather.

Whats the benefits of being an SRL member. I am a VB/C++ coder. I am still part
of MPCforums, which does not feature RS.

Essentially I am experiences in creating console applications, coulored models/vector aimbots etc. What kind of benefits would I receive by joining SRL instead of other SCAR-Coding communities?

well.. there are a LOT of really good scripts that nobody posts for the leachers, like tutorial island runners etc.. and just to prove to yourself that you are good enough should be good enough to make you want to become one once you are one, you feel really good about yourself. trust me I know, I just applied a few days ago and got accepted yesterday so just work at it I'd suggest, and if you work hard enough, you could easily become a member in 2 weeks of learning to script. I read tuts for 3-4 hours a day for about a week and a half, then I started a script, I used the script to apply and I got in. simple as that just don't apply with a noobish auto talker or something that just writeln's, because even though I've only been here for a day, I already know there are a lot of noobish applications lol

Yeah pwnaz0r, it did help you a lot to have an uber teacher like me eh? lol j/k. It does help to have somebody on MSN that you can tell all your problems too with your script, and they can help. I'd suggest trying to find somebody that can do that for you thegodfather (me!)
