    Default Help with English Essay

I have to write a persuasive essay on this topic:
"The world would be a better place without conflict"

I chose to argue against it(so im arguing that the world would not be a better place without conflict), so if anyone has any examples(that are factual, irrevelant of the time they occured) please post them here.

P.S. We have to include examples from the book called 'Crucible' which is based on the witch hunts in salem(US) and McCarthyism, so if you have any post them as well.

No examples sorry but I can give some blabber that might help lead you/others in the right way.

Conflict is beneficial because we all have our own opinions and views about all kinds of things and no one person is right or wrong (or sometimes someone is wrong!) and without conflict no one would be able to argue and persuade others in one way or another.

That's just one direction you could go in/include.
Yeah, hope it helped some .

I would definitely be on the opinion of the world being a better place without conflict, but I can argue for both sides, and even related it to The Crucible.

In the Crucible, there was conflict between the ones pointing their fingers and the accused. Had they not stood up for themselves in court, they'd all be found guilty and thus hung, yes? So in a sense, conflict kept many of them alive.

    Edit:
Also, like YoHoJo said, conflict is beneficial because it allows everyone's opinions to be heard and taken into account. Conflict can lead to many options depending on the situation, and the more options you have the more chance there is for a solution to be made. In the end it's not conflict that causes problems, it's pride.

I think conflict is inevitable, so I would definitely argue for it. We aren't all robots with the same mindset so how can you avoid people having different ideas and expressing them? Sorry not that helpful
