    Default why is this happening when i check for srl update

    what can i do to fix/ temp fix(can i update manually?)

    run simba as admin. without it being admin, it cant write those files.
    after i ran as admin, worked and didnt kill

    Alternatively, reinstall simba into C:\, as it doesn't require admin privs there. I did, and several problems i had went away, and i no longer needed to start simba as an admin.

    Make sure Simba is installed to C:\
    Make sure you run as admin.
    Try doing
    Simba> SRL> Settings> OverRide Update
    Simba> SRL> Update
