    Default 8 core Speed - 0

Was doing some general reading when I this article came to my attention.

    hxxp://www.marketwatch.com/story/correction-amd-showcases-worlds-fastest-cpu-2011-09-13

The speed is good, but the humor at in the reading from "...groundbreaking AMD Fusion Accelerated Processing Units...."

Can't see it? they use APU as abbreviation, that's not what is there .....lol

8.429 GHz on a 8 core system? Nasty.

I'd just like to interject for a moment and say that what you are referring to as a 8 core CPU is not really a 8 core CPU. It is actually 4 "modules" wherein each has two integer cores that share a FPU.

And they only had one module up to 8.4 ghz

I know. But it sure beats my top of the line smoking 33 MHz 486 I paid a bloody fortune for.
