    Default uhh is this bad?

I was in the mind rune place.. the place grows and shrinks in different sections, constantly..

you can go and watch it, the minimap and the area will change every minute or so, you don't even have to move and it changes

I am making maps for SPS but I'm unsure what to do with this one =/

Ironically I told my friend before the only way to stop colour bots would be to constantly have the colour of everything change and randomized =/
If I see you autoing with level 3/default clothes/crap name I WILL report you. Auto Correctly.

yea, weird shapes and sizes moving will do it

but this is the 'mind' alter, I assume it's here because it has "psychic powers" in the lore or something, not that I even know anything about runescape..

    Trivia:
Part of the Air altar may be seen from the eastern-most point of the mind altar. More of the air altar may also be seen using the Orb of oculus.

lol, pretty neat! that means all the alters are on one map, we just don't have access to it.

Does anything in the minimap grow/shrink? If it's just the main screen I don't think we have any issues.

The minimap itself always grows and shrinks. If you sit and watch it, all the symbols and objects will shift outward from the center when it grows, and the opposite happens when it shrinks. The change isn't ever very great, but it does alter the shape of objects, which can affect DTMs and bitmaps.

Guess we'll have to see. I'm pretty confident that it won't make enough of a difference to cause SPS to break, especially when the area is so small to begin with.

Coh3n, it shouldn't, because SPS "dilutes" the bitmap it takes from the minimap, meaning such a small shift shouldn't really affect the output. Though that does make me curious, mustn't there be places where SPS returns false positives due to an almost identical placement of colors/objects? Is that part of the reason we have SPS areas?

SPS areas narrow it down, yes, but it also makes the algorithms much faster because it only has to look in 500x500 chunks rather than a 6000x6000 world map.

I can sometimes, confuse areas though. I mean, some points are basically exactly the same. Just look at some grassy/forest areas.

That is what I was wondering, thank you, and sorry for taking the thread off-topic.

yea the minimap grows and shrinks a lot.. by like 10%

I noticed when I took a diff s/s of a spot I was missing after like 5 mins, because I made the full image with a few other images

then I had to re s/s it all in like 10 seconds so I got all of the same size
