    lol...
Can't be lazy dude reading and looking at and patience is the way to learn!
Just go slow, take your time, and pace yourself and it'll be fine.
You also have the help forum for any questions you need to ask.

Also there are like infinite aspects to scripting one video can't teach it all, that's why we have tons of tutorials on each topic.

I have a link to a beginners tutorial video in my signature you can check out though.

I like that you want to learn though, good first step!

not like one to easy one to advanced and that video explains how to do it and if somebody see it before, brain will have 30% chance to remember it

tbh, the best way to learn is get a script running, and then observe the script. and when you think you know what the script is doing, read the script and then trying to understand each line/looking it up on tutorials...etc

I don't agree with him that it should be done because it's boring to read, but I do think having someone who talks is nice. I love listening to Stroustrup talk about stuff, just as I love listening to Google programmers talk about Python, or any language at all. In an hour of talking, you can typically say more things and lead to more information, in my opinion, than in an hour's worth of reading material (usually, depends on the topic, blah blah blah, whatever).

Just another reason why moving away from PascalScript/Pascal seems like a good idea to me. People can learn in many different ways if we use a different language, because there are so many ways that people teach other languages.

    Oh well.

IceFire has/had some video tutorials that mostly still work today. You have to fiddle with some of the code, but the ideas are still the same, iirc. (I still remember him being in Keldagrim or whatever in the videos.)

You guys forgot that WhoCares357 made some video tutorials on scripting

He's still using SCAR, but it's pretty much the same thing. Here is the link to his youtube playlist, and the link to the thread.

btw just a heads up, in College Professors give you the general idea... and the rest is on your own... by reading chapters and chapters!

Compared to the technical reading that comes with programming and computer science in general, I think this site provides great tutorials because they aren't written by some professor or whatever, they are written by average guys like you and me. So even though you don't like reading, please appreciate that this site makes learning the pascalscript language quite easy.

I barely know what I am doing (I am still learning) but at first was a tad overwhelmed but the guide coh3n has is amazing if you just take the time to sit through it (http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=58935).

It won't teach you everything but it will teach you what you need to know, I used this in conjunction with about 4 public scripts to learn the basics.

The way to find a script that will help you is to first find what you want to make then you look for similar needs in scripts ex: If you need to walk in your script, look at another script that requires walking. (Change things in theirs to figure your script out)

Also don't be afraid to ask, Luff/Flight/Risk and others helped me when I got stuck there are many people here who are willing to help just got to ask

Just use the resources we already have at our disposal before getting more.

Build yourself off others, if we all started from the bottom and went up we would never improve as a community but that is what I love about this community it is about growth.

hmm, I think I went off topic there haha
