Default Looking for accounts with randoms.

I'm looking to grab the model CRCs for random event NPCs to allow random event detection via OpenGL, and I need some accounts in randoms to do so. I'm not planning on solving the randoms; I'll leave you in the random. Note that I won't have time to grab the information for a couple of days from the time of this port, probably.

    Randoms especially wanted:
    Molly
    Abyss

    Randoms still wanted:
    ALL (even if already listed)

    Randoms solved to date:
    • Beekeeper
    • Drill Demon

    Randoms data-mined to date:
    • Molly
    • Leo
    • Prison Pete
    • Mordaut
    • Mime
    • Cap'n Arnav
    • Pillory
    • Abyss
    • Pinball
    • Beekeeper
    • Drill Demon

    Detection status:
    • Beekeeper - solved
    • Drill Demon - solved
    • Mordaut - detected from anywhere in the area under any graphic setting
    • Mime - detected perfectly in all graphics settings.
    • Leo - detected perfectly in all graphics settings, except if standing in the very corner at a very low camera angle.
    • Prison Pete - detected perfectly in all graphics settings.
    • Pinball - detected perfectly in all graphics settings.
    • Abyss - detected, but need more data in case there are more levers.
    • Cap'n Arnav - detected with great success on high, but not with lower graphic settings.
    • Pillory - decent detection, but with potential for false positives. I have thought of another way to detect it without false positives.
    • Molly - require additional accounts; have a universal detection method in mind, this is again orientation-dependent; possibly need some changes as mentioned above.

    Other comments
This is just using the CRC-finding method, I still have a few other ways that I'll get to sometime.

    Acknowledgments/random event sources list:
    • bolshak25: 1xMordaut, 1xPrisonPete, 1xMime, 1xLeo, 1xMolly.
    • me: 2xPrisonPete, 1x CapnArnav, 1xPillory, 1xAbyss, 1xPinball, 1xBeekeeper, 1xDrillDemon

People often post/offer their random accounts for testing here:
    http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48120

So you're trying to make open GL random solvers or something?
Do you have good open GL knowledge, any progress with IDing/doing things via open GL to rs? Sounds neat. You should check out this thread: http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54094

Thanks for the link to the first thread, I'll post there when I have a bit of time.

I'm actually trying to make OpenGL random detectors - I'm not interested in making solvers for the moment.

Currently we have the capacity to enumerate and find player / NPCs / animated objects by checksum, and according to Silab, we can get this for any NPC in the current area (even off-screen). Therefore, I'd just need to log in and grab those checksums and the random would instantly be detected.

What I'm personally aiming for as a short-term goal is a supervised semi-automatic botting platform (you can see my Beep plugin in this section, and my question about SRL's random-finding routines, which were created to that end).

This random-detection approach would have the advantage of being detectable under any graphics setting as long as OpenGL was running.

I'm pretty sure SRL detects all random events. Now if you want to work on solvers then that'd be wonderful.

    Current projects:
[ AeroGuardians (GotR minigame), Motherlode Miner, Blast furnace ]

you're the Earth and I'm the sky..."

SRL's detectors aren't suitable for my purposes - based on what was said in response to my question on another thread, they depend on graphic configuration and such. I'd be able to detect the randoms in any graphical configuration using OpenGL.

    I assume you're using Silab's OGL work?

aftermath ill pm you some, im assuming you need one in each.

if you could make a list of which ones you have (alot like the randoms thread list) and just update it to what you still need i can get you most

Thanks, I created a list to say I need everything. I'll update it as I receive accounts.

Is this going to effect any of the accounts that I have of yours?

I will not remove any accounts from random events - essentially, I just need to get some "IDs". If I ever need accounts to make random event solvers, I'll make it clear that I plan on removing them from the random event.

Thanks to bolshak25 for five accounts with random events. I have mined them and updated the status in the original post.

Updated the original post with two more random events.

I've found a really trivial way to solve the pillory random

Well, figured I'd post a small status update

I've started to save my own accounts when they hit random and am working on my own random solvers (I still won't solve any randoms given to me by anyone in this thread). Currently I can identify every coffin / tombstone in the gravedigger random, I just have to write some code to deal with collecting the coffins and talking to Leo. I'm waiting until we implement some inventory / minimap functionality to finish it up.

Also, I should be able to identify any random without any problem now, just need to actually get them now.

P.S.: F2P RS feels much more fun than P2P.

Just btw, he's from mitb. They're working on this stuff in this thread. Good luck with your endeavors, and status updates are appreciated

I can now detect the Abyss random, but there may be more levers that I haven't accounted for. Please send me more accounts!

Edit: Can now solve the Beekeeper random.

Edit 2: Can now solve the Drill Demon random.

    Bumping this.

Aftermath, there are times when its OK to double post. For example.. when you make progress after a few days.
