    Default Contributing my skills.

    Hello SRL and everyone else,

I couldn't find an "introductions" forum so I decided to post here.

I haven't played runescape in half a decade and last time I did I was writing more lines of code for runescape then I was for my job as a software engineer.

I have experience in all the notable languages, my highest being java at 7 years.

I'm looking forward to learning the SRL/MSI environment and getting some very detailed, very sophisticated scripts started

I have a masters in Software Engineering with a minor in Algorithm Development so if anyone needs help on cleaning code / your script seems to be slow, I'd be glad to help

My names Mike, thanks for reading.

    Nice, what type of software?

More unique types of software then I can remember, currently though I'm doing internal software for a bank. That's pretty much all I can say without someone from tech coming to my desk -_-

Right now I'm just going over the general language practices you guys use, as well as your globals (they help so much).

Ah ok, that's cool. I'm a web & software dev. I create programs that speed up efficiency where needed. Currently working on a Word doc parser to take docs and create HTML and plain text newsletters.

If you need any help, feel free to ask

I've got a little bit of a handicap, my work has blocked simba's internet ports so I can't update etc.

Going to try to find an alternative way, I have however narrowed down my first project to either a smither or a combat script. Hoping to have them precoded with most major npcs to eliminate the human error in color picking etc.

    I'll keep you guys updated

I'm kinda new here aswell; and I do certainly not have a masters in software engineering!
Infact.. as of now I am, for the most of it, a giant leech. But I'm going to start learning, following tutorials etc. Just have to wait till AFTER my "evaluation week" (two weeks with test every freaking day)
    But whatever.. Welcome!

You could use a ssh tunnel? Or just work when you're at work.

I have a lot of downtime (waiting for code drops, environment changes, etc)

SSH tunnel would have a tech guy at my desk in minutes thinking I'm trying to breach security -_-, might just start bringing my laptop.

uhh uhh that makes you a breacher, or a hacker?
But yea, it's better you take your laptop in order to not get problems in your job!
