    Default wizzup?s Essence Miner

    Hey everyone ...

I'm trying to find where wizzup? posted a thread with a link to his essence miner? Am I imagining this ?

I have searched a bit, but cannot find it.

Can anyone please post the link to it, please ?

    Ciao

Default Essence Miner : mistaken perhaps

I could be mistaken here - but I got the impression that it was a revived script. I'll keep looking.

EDIT: @YoHoJo: You know those feelings you get when you're pretty sure - but then doubts creep in. This is one of those moments. Well - I'm sure you would know better than I. So I must be mistaken.

Nope, to my knowledge we currently have no working essance miners.
I know that at least one person is working on one though!

Where, would u suggest, can a novice get their feet wet in the Simba RS scripting world without feeling swamped, but still be able to contribute. Is it better to start by writing small scripts (after studying the tuts) and submitting to the First Scripts thread or would it be better to work with some of the very experienced people on some or other admin / upkeep tasks or both ? Any advice ?

I have uploaded some of my old scripts to github, so if anyone is interested in reviving them, fork it!
Note that none of them work at the moment.

There's also some (previously) private scripts out there and even some reflection scripts (before reflection was even in SRL-Members I think)

E: PS, reviving my scripts is probably not a good starting point.

The best way to contact me is by email, which you can find on my website: http://wizzup.org
I also get email notifications of private messages, though.

I appreciate the advice. Thank you.

BTW: I think you and some of the other forum stalwarts might need to adjust the scale on your activity graphs (top right of your post.) You guys are maxed out! :-)

Question: When do you EDIT a post and when do you hit NEW REPLY / QUOTE ?

Excellent, Wizzup? thank you. I enjoy trawling through other peoples scripts. You learn so much. But then you must write your own soon thereafter - otherwise you've pretty much wasted your time. :-( (IMO)

    ^ Perfect Example!
A rule of pretty much all forums.
You edit posts when 1) You nee to make and edit or 2) (this case) if the last post in the thread was already yours! That is called 'double posting' and frowned upon. So next time you have something to add, but see you were the last person to post already, use the edit, otherwise new reply is just fine!

Also, I wouldn't look through his as your first look though, they will be really complex for the most part!

Adding to the Edit button bit. If you feel you need to bump a post that has been sitting over 1 week and you were the last post. Then just copy the post and make a new one after deleting your last. This prevents the double post and you can still add the E: for the New information.

I merged your double post btw

To fix the essminer, you'd need to do a few things. First, remove the graphics settings as those mess up mouse. Second: renew the location detection (SPS has an essmine map iirc). Third: fix the portal detection. Oh, Aubury detection is flaky, might wish to change change that one too (and update the font in the FindTextTPA to UpCharsEx instead of regular UpChars).
The walking from bank to essmine is fine and the mining itself is fine. If you are willing to put a bit of effort into it, you can do it in 2 days easily. Might also be a fun learning project!
I made a new script, check it out!.
