Well, colorbots never left. As for clients as rsbuddy, powerbot, rsbots, ... I dont think they'll come back very soon.
    Nope!

Ofcourse every bot will improve and reflection will come back sooner or later. They didn't break reflection, they just made it harder to code that's why bots like PB are taking so long to code. There are also many upcoming bots that may work such as Jbot. Most of the bots you see now at green dragons and sorc garden and such are really Chinese gold farmers from Gold4Fun multi-logging. They work a day for a bowl of rice so you can really expect Runescape to be filled with them.

Bots in general I assume will be just as bad eventually, given that OGL takes off like how everyone is saying it will. If not then I'm sure more user-friendly and runescape-specific color bots will be developed. Simba I personally doubt will ever have that much of an impact on the bots as a mass simply because we're not restricted to just Runescape. Also Simba isn't that user-friendly.

    Current projects:
[ AeroGuardians (GotR minigame), Motherlode Miner, Blast furnace ]

If reflection comes back anytime soon and is stable, I'll be very surprised.

    It's actually a story apart.

Reflection, i'd say gf reflection for the next year or maybe even 2 years. Jagex can get them to development stage 0 fairly easy now. So it will be hard for them to come back anytime soon.

Color bots, well RiD is pretty easy to use, but they are expensive. Simba is not really userfriendly. Some scripts arent perfect and if you dont know how to script and adjust the script so it will work, they can be insuffiencient for some time. That is why i think color bots will probably not be a big part of the botting community. Due to RiD being pretty expensive and simba being a little bit userundfriendly.

Maybe the OGL bots will come, but they are to be dealt with easily. Just remove OGL.

Then hardware acceleration for Unix and Mac platforms will be non-existent... so Jagex definitely won't do that.

Then maybe OGL bots have a future, but as far as i know this was just an idea and still needs a lot of development.

There's a bunch of people working on OGL bots... most of whom reside on moparisthebest.

    Here's my progress:

I'm currently working on getting constant inventory item IDs, since the ones shown aren't constant.

TRiLeZ: Do the actual "id's" change to complete random or is it a set of item id's for one item (like an array of id's)?

Those 3 digit IDs shown are OpenGL "names" which point to the image data. Those names change with every time you reload the client (or even more frequently than that).

What I'm trying to do is locate the image data, then use the checksum of the image as an ID. The checksum shouldn't change unless the image changes.
