Default How to run Simba on a vps

This guide will explain how to setup and run simba script/bots on a vps. Im using a Windows vps (you can use linux but i dont recommend it since it quite buggy).

I bought my vps from photonvps, http://www.photonvps.com.

    The stats im using is:

    Zap 2
    Windows Server 2008
    32bit Colors
    1 GB ram
    2.4 GHz dual cpu
    50 GB Hardware
$33 (can half it, look under).

You can use HALF once. If you would want to use the in the promo code type (can only use it once) HALFMOTHYEAR (so for exemple dec 2011 is HALFDEC2011, so it would cost 17$).

The advantage is that it can run 24/7, no need to keep your computer on when you bot. The downside is that it cost money.

If you want to buy a vps, go to http://www.photonvps.com (or any other site).

    Buy a vps, Windows 2008.
Then you should get a email from then within the next 24 h.
They will then tell you your logging (using solusVM control panel).
    Logg in to the vps.

Microsoft will block all sites that you will enter, then you have to do this:

congratulations, you now own a vps =)
Then you will need to download Java and Simba.
How to setup can be found here:

    FAQ

How much RAM do i need per bot?
I would say 1 GB per bots (if you want it to run smooth).

Im keep getting MSVCR71.dll error, what should i do?
Google MSVCR71.dll and download a fixer, first one. Should fix it.

    Hope this help someone atleast.
Feel free to ask questions or say something i should add.

    Thanks =)

You can make this guide for any type of VPS. You just chose to use a 1GB RAM one. Although you can get more than 1 Simba running at a time with 1GB.

3 simba flax pickers should run on 1gb I'd say IMO.If you disable graphics and only turn it on when you are checking the bot :P Only good thing I can think of to bot would be Co-op stuff eg duel arena bot get like 100kills/hr or so which was on rsbuddy or Mayr superheater with breaking every 45mins-1hr for 20mins. Good guide but windows servers are way more expensive then linux... Doesn't simba run on Linux?

It does run on linux, no support though. 3 bots on 1gb might be pushing it, especially considering that they probably don't give you a ton of cpu. I think you need at minimum 700 mhz of cpu per simba (with like 500 for windows/linux to run on).

Very bad advice. You should never download libraries from shady websites like that.
Just copy the library from your Java installation. (Ex: C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\MSVCR71.dll)
