Default AKTan - A simple F2P Tanning script

    What is this?
As in the title, this is a tanning script that turns your cowhides into hard leather or soft leather using Ellis the tanner in Al-Kharid.

    Changelog
01-16-2012 Updated to SRL5 to reflect recent changes and fixes.

    Why?
Originally inspired by http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=68684 It was the first script I looked in details and I thought I could do better to deal with some of the problems I found when I ran this script. So I improved the script by using the skeleton in Cru1z1ns iTanner and coded a few functions to replace those that were not working very well previously.

As well I wanted to gather some feedback to see where I'm up to. I am aiming at membership in the future, but most probably not with this

    How to use?
    1. Have cowhides in first tab first slot in bank
    2. Make sure character is inside Al-Kharid bank
    3. Fill in the loads and character info on the script
    4. Run

    Known Issues?
SPS sometimes does not work. If you see it clicking all the way in a wrong path, restarting Simba seems to solve the issue.
Other player stepping over Ellis is currently not implemented.

    Dev Notes
When I made this it was mainly for self-education and personal use, and therefore the script has minimal fancy features. Note there's no breaks, no antibans, and it won't check whether your cowhides are placed correctly or whether you have enough money in your pouch. Oh and there's not even a proggy, but I remember if it runs perfectly the rate is around 1.2k-1.5k hides per hour

There's also no P2P support as I don't have it.

    Future Plans?
Open to suggestions But I'm not sure if I'll have the drive to do it :P Maybe a proggy but I have yet bothered to look at how to do it

So far so good, done about 5 inventories now. Will update with how many it has done after the first hour. Only thing that might be a problem is the return walking is very bot like. All in all, a good first script.

Update: 1428 hides in 1 hour. Would have been more(was on track for ~1900 about 15 minutes in), but it got stuck a few times beside the green hedges outside the bank.

You could easily make it work for dragon hide. All it would take is adding a few more cases under "case HideType of" (line 156). A little trial and error to get the X and Y values right and it should work.

Thanks for the proggy. I admit the walking is a bit bot-like but that's the best I can get out of SPS for now, same goes with the occasional stop outside the bank. But overall I hope it won't make the script unusable

seems to be broken, it will hover the mouse over the cowhide in the tanner screen, but will not click on it, then the bot continues to run back to the bank, deposit all cowhides, rewithdraw them and repeat...:/

Updated to SRL5. Currently working as we speak as I'm running it right now. If problems persist please check whether your SRL is updated to the latest version.

seems that it still runs to the tanner, opens up the tanner interface, then starts walking back to the bank, its rather strange honestly...no error messages it works flawlessly...but it forgets to tan the hides before returning to the bank

Update your Simba and SRL. Mine is running flawlessly right now.

E: I have seen what you've described, but just once so far. Btw are you tanning soft leather or hard leather?

If the script does not click the correct hardleather area, resize the MouseBox so that it works better.
The tanner thing I know it happens, I might work on a fix later but AFAIK it does not impact the functionality of the script. I have other priorities for now.

This script seems to work great as I see people using it all the time in the last two days. However it's very easy to see that it's a bot, I was able to pick out at least 9 players using it on 1 world yesterday just by watching where they walked/stopped. Perhaps adding in some more randomized walking or something so it doesn't stop in the same place every time this could turn out really great

Thanks for reporting. SPS has built in randomness. Since there's only 11 downloads for the latest version, I have to ask, are you seeing another bot?

It's possible, just figured since I only started seeing them since this one was released D= sorry for the mix up if it is in fact a different script

You can run this script and compare the walking paths. I believe they're a bit different.
