    Default RS Loader and java

    so i was just having a look around the RS downloads section and with the downloadable client, they have this
    (This client doesn't need Java to be installed)
    does this mean we could possible use RS without java?
    if so this MAY be beneficial to us

    That makes no sense o.o, what does it run on then?
    Would this affect us at all though?

    It's just because OpenJDK is bundled into it. You're still running Java, just not installed.

    Nothing new about it(since a year or more, this was how the client was run). If you mean beneficial to us, you mean because its open source? or because it doesn't use java?

    The only benefit I can see is that it would be portable? So you can take it and maybe bot/play on computers without java?

    I don't see how the colors on the client is any different from the colors in the browser or SMART.

    Exclamation Question for: Shuttleu

    @Shuttleu: In V4 of your Vine script, you have the following ...

    Simba Code:
    {$loadlib sps}

    ... and then later ...

    Simba Code:
    {$i sps/sps.simba}

    What does {$loadlib sps} do that {$i sps/sps.simba} doesn't ?

    Thanks!
    Ciao

    not really the place to be talking about this, it should be in the script thread, but while your here

    the first line loads the DLL so it can be used in scripts
    the next line includes the sps include file
