Funny thing is: $000,000 is six figures. They obviously didn't release the exact amount for a reason. If it was a lot, then they would have made sure all other bot developers knew how much they could sue them for, as a scare tactic(which we know jagex loves to use).

It mentioned that all the information on people who have have developed scripts for iBot would be passed to Jagex. Will anything happen to them?

Yes, I know the RSB Global mods, Admins, and developers. Like Methamphetamine (developer of autoclue scroll pro for rsbots.net which is now shutdown btw) is scared to even touch Pascal coding because of the risk of being sued for 1 mil.

Maybe it was part of the settlement that the exact number couldn't be released?

It was obviously part of the settlement. But I believe that it was Jagex that wanted the amount hidden so that no ones knows what it really is, and they can spread more fear, when in reality it isn't that much money.

Figure = number. Six of them. Six figures. It all depends on how you define six figures.

Why not say seven or eight figures then?

To me, and probably most everyone else, six figures is $100,000+.

E: I agree with you that it all depends on how you define six figures, but I don't think that they meant anything below $100,000.

Having people guess between $100,000 and $999,999 seems like a pretty good scare tactic. I have no idea about american laws, but just asking for a bunch of zeroes for damages doesn't seem valid to me at all.

Regardless those 6 figures weren't enough to pay their sadistic employees. They have to raise member prices in order to do so.

the amount mark and eric had to pay was extremely substantial considering a lien was put on their house (which is very nice).

Impsoft.net just went down as well, even for us developers. So its finally completely over.
