    Default Runescape on mac

Hey guys, I have a mac laptop for work. It's running OSX v10.5.8 with 6, 5 and 1.4.2 versions of java. I have tried disabling some and changing the order or preference, but nothing.

When i try to load the game, i just get a the runescape screen, but the space where the game should load is black.

Has anyone had anything similar, or know of a possible fix? It's not too much of an issue though, since i can still run it on my desktop. Thanks.

Have you tried running RuneScape's client? I am running Mac OS X 10.5.8 as well without having the ability to play RuneScape on their official website. SMART, however, runs perfectly fine through Wine.

Sorry, i meant to mention that. I tried the client, i could log in and play, however, the focus seemed to be off, and i had to click about 1 - 2 cm below where i actually wanted to.

I have waited for > 15 mins before with no results. It's not set to full screen. Maybe rs just doesn't like my laptop :P Oh well, as i said, it's not that bad, just annoying really. Hopefully someone can come up with a fix. In the meantime i will just use my pc. Thanks xPow and Jakey

that's specific to chrome, or how jagex used to handle chrome.. not OS X

@OP Have you tried other browsers? and seeing if there's a java update for OS X? (apple button top left & check for updates)

if it happens the same for all browsers I have no idea.. chrome and safari both are on webkit so I suggest using opera or firefox, see if they're having the same issues or what

I haven't ever heard of that client being so messed up where you have to click a few CM off though O_o sounds weird

you can also run simba in wine and just play through smart, that is a pretty solid way to play, honestly..

The only problem I've had playing in smart is typing...sometimes it doesn't register and it just acts really weird.
