Default DTM/Bitmap error whenever I try to run a script.

    Hi everyone!

Whenever I try to run a script (any script at all), I get the following error.

    SMART Initialized.
Loaded: Server 20, Members: False, Signed: False, Super Detail: False.
Error: Exception: Access violation at line 101
The following DTMs were not freed: [SRL - Lamp bitmap, 1]
The following bitmaps were not freed: [SRL - Mod bitmap, SRL - Admin bitmap, SRL - Flag bitmap]

It's really starting to annoy me and I don't know what I can do to fix it. Help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Josh

    Try updating everything: simba/SRL/SPS/DTMWALKING.
If that don't work give us a little more information.
I had the same problem yesterday, small fix worked for me (can't remember what tough)

If you get the error, does it open another simba script? if so which one (I suppose AntiRandoms)

Everything is up to date, one quick question though. 'DTMWALKING', is that a custom addon I need to manually install? I recall adding something to Simba that allowed for more advanced walking a few weeks ago. However, I have completely wiped my laptop since then, for a fresh start, and I cannot remember the name of it. Would not having that be causing my problem?

I got the exact same error again, how can I provide you with more information?

I noticed that a new tab is opened called 'smart' as well as the error. That wouldn't have anything to do with the error, would it?

    Try this:
    MSI>Settings>Override Update>MSI>update
    &
    SRL>Settings>Override Update>SRL>update

    Close Simba and try again.

Updated everything. Still getting the same problem. I'm thinking it has to do with Java7...but I can't be sure.

    Check this out ...

Exception: Access violation at line 101

Now, I've personally never run into this nor have I seen it, but it appears to be caused by not having Java installed.

All you need to do is follow YoHoJo's guide here (http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?p=848708) , and that will walk you through on how to fix this error. Yes, I know it talks about fixing the "lag" issue with SMART, but they are the exact same steps to solve the error above.

Also, I've heard that running Simba as Admin or a directory that doesn't require Admin rights helps with this issue.

Okay, I tried everything mentioned. I even completely re-installed Simba. I then tried to run the MSI Powerminer to see if it would work. I put all the details in, and set it to mine Iron, when I clicked Run however, the error came up again.

Setting up MSI took 734 ms.

I am getting an almost identical error when running MSI.

Setting up MSI took 484 ms.
Error: Out Of Range at line 2731
The following DTMs were not freed: [Bronze Pickaxe, Iron Pickaxe, Steel Pickaxe, Mithril Pickaxe, Adamant Pickaxe, Rune Pickaxe, Dragon Pickaxe, Bronze Hatchet, Iron Hatchet, Steel Hatchet, Mithril Hatchet, Adamant Hatchet, Rune Hatchet, Dragon Hatchet, Normal Logs, Oak Logs, Willow Logs, Maple Logs, Yew Logs, Magic Logs, Clay Ore, Copper Ore, Tin Ore, Iron Ore, Silver Ore, Coal Ore, Gold Ore, Mithril Ore, Adamantite Ore, Runite Ore, Small Fishing Net, Crayfish Cage, Fishing Rod, Fishing Bait, Fly Fishing Rod, Harpoon, Barb-Tail Harpoon, Lobster Pot, Raw Shrimps, Raw Crayfish, Raw Sardines, Raw Anchovies, Raw Herring, Raw Trout, Raw Pike, Raw Salmon, Raw Tuna, Raw Lobster, Raw Swordfish, Raw Monkfish, Raw Shark, Cooked Shrimps, Cooked Crayfish, Cooked Sardines, Cooked Anchovies, Cooked Herring, Cooked Trout, Cooked Pike, Cooked Salmon, Cooked Tuna, Cooked Lobster, Cooked Swordfish, Cooked Monkfish, Cooked Shark, Uncut Sapphire, Uncut Emerald, Uncut Ruby, Uncut Diamond, Bird'S Nest, Feather, Staff Of Air, Staff Of Water, Staff Of Earth, Staff Of Fire, Air Rune, Body Rune, Mind Rune, Earth Rune, Fire Rune, Water Rune, Chaos Rune, Law Rune, Cosmic Rune, Death Rune, Nature Rune, Rune Essence, Pure Essence, Soft Clay, Vial, Vial Of Water, Jug, Jug Of Water, Bowl, Bowl Of Water, Bucket, Bucket Of Water, Air Tiara, Body Tiara, Mind Tiara, Earth Tiara, Fire Tiara, Water Tiara, Dwarven Army Axe]

Another similarity happens to be that I too have recently tried to use the Power Miner in MSI but now I get the error just by clicking to open MSI itself.

Cmon, someone has to know how to fix these errors? They are becoming common for alot of people, we need to find out how to fix it so that when this error arises for other users they know how to fix it.

I had Java 6 and still got the error. To fix the problem, I did this.

    Uninstall Simba.

Go to C:, or whichever hard drive you had installed Simba on. Default is C: / Simba.

Delete the Simba folder as a simple uninstall will not delete everything so by uninstalling and then deleting the Simba folder will ensure that you get rid of it all.

Reinstall Simba following this guide exactly. CLICK HERE

Now this is where I continued to recieve error. Simply go up to SPS once again and choose to update again. If it fails to update, go to SPS/Settings/Override Update. Click SPS again, and choose "Update".

Like I said, it worked for me, and hopefully does the same for those still struggling. Good luck to you all, and happy botting.

Aww, I followed everything you said and still I'm getting the error :/ Maybe Simba just doesn't like me...

But anyway, I'm glad it worked for you (:

Have you gone up to SPS and tried clicking "settings/Override Update, and then clicking SPS again and choosing "update"? Other than that tbh I don't know much about the work arounds per Simba just yet but that was the last thing I did before I finally got Simba back up and running. Good luck.

Yeah, I tried that, and I'm still getting the same error :/ I had Simba working about a month ago, then I re-installed Vista to wipe everything and have a fresh start, and now Simba won't work for me. I just continually get that error.

First off, is your MSI working? I would suggest possibly trying to install to another location, if possible. Default is "C: Simba" assuming that you have your priary hard drive labeled as such. If you have a secondary hard drive it wouldnt hurt to try installing a fresh copy there. If not, then installing to a location of your choice would work. I have Simba installed on C: currently and have since then installed a second copy on my D: drive. "secondary hard drive" Upon following all instructions step for step and tried running Simba again I recieved this message:

    Running MSI...
    ERROR in TMThread.LoadFile
Exception in Script: Unable to find file 'D:\Simba\Includes\SRL/SRL/core/globals.simba' used from 'D:\Simba\Includes\srl/srl.simba'

If you are recieving that message at this point go up to SRL and choose to update again. From your error I can see that the problem must be SRL related. I am hoping this attempt at a second install will help to fix it.
