    Default flawless script list?

had a brainwave earlier, while looking at the runescape script forum. we need a list of flawless scripts or something along them lines. i am willing to list it in this fourm, if people would kindly post names of flawless scripts (must have a 7 hour+ progress report) then i will start a list.

sorry if i have posted in wrong section fairly new to simba and srl forums.

    the list so far:
    0-1 hours

    2-4 hours:

    5-7 hours:
    -teh's superheater (http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74748)

    8-10 hours:
-Flight's Heavy Rodder script ( http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67587 ) however after looking at recent posts 8hour progress report seems rare.

    10+ hours:
-AK smelter (http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34507) solid script has a 25 hour proggie
-Narcle's fast fighter (http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20110) if set up correctly u should not have a single problem.

Update: please post progress reports (longest running) with the name of the script

I ran AK Smelter for 6 hours loads of times. MSI's scrips are pretty solid also but that should be obvious.

I think this is a good idea for a sticky or something. Grouping scripts like 6-10 hour proggies, 4-6 hours, 2-4 and any others are considered still in testing.

The more complex the script the less likely to make this list.

    Current projects:
[ AeroGuardians (GotR minigame), Motherlode Miner, Blast furnace ]

Very true, You'll find things such as Fwd Motion's Herb Cleaner can run well (provided no un-doable randoms) for 6 hours+ because all they do is bank and click inside the inventory.

Honestly this list is not really that useful. I mean how many duplicate scripts do you find? Besides, the point of using a script is not only so that you can benefit, rather it allows you to test others work and give them constructive feedback.
If no one used non 'flawless' scripts, we would have hardly any flawless ones that are tested enough ;o

In my opinion a flawless script list would be kind of useless to maintain. It's not like there are 10 scripts for the same thing that you have to go through to find a good one. Pick between the 2 or 3 that are there for the task that you are performing, and maybe read the recent comments, as those usually give a good hint as to whether the script is functional or not.

Indeed. For me, this is a normal phase. Whenever I start with a script, it tends to run quite good after an hour of programming or so, until I discover something low level horrible goes wrong forcing me to rethink the engine. Next I tend to make things overcomplex in an effort to eliminate that one horrible bug. When the bug is gone, the script is out of balance. It needs a lots and lots of tweaking. And then I discover an even beter method of handling things, forcing me to rewrite again, and the whole process starts all over (only this time without the bug), But once thats all in equilibrium....it runs for a year without breaks or tweaks.

On Topic: Ratz! was/is my most stable script. It had run over 100 hours straight for many people . HLR is currently somewhat broken. but once I fix it, it will run for a year again

We don't need a flawless script list. Just appreciate the scripts that are available no matter how well they run. They are free, and we make them for you to use.

exactly what i was thinking when i was posting.

sort of why i made, iv run about 3 different scripts overnight only to wake up to find its crashed.

thanks for feedback but not everyone agrees, but still a valid point.

Honestly this list is not really that useful. I mean how many duplicate scripts do you find? Besides, the point of using a script is not only so that you can benefit, rather it allows you to test others work and give them constructive feedback.

again thanks for feedback suppose your right really but just because a script is reliable/ flawless doesn't mean it is faster/better than other scripts, also it would help the scripts that are on this fourm with publicity, views etc.
however the "non" flawless scripts could still go on here if i grouped them better.

In my opinion a flawless script list would be kind of useless to maintain. It's not like there are 10 scripts for the same thing that you have to go through to find a good one. i disagree sorry, i feel that it is sometimes hard to find a good script, i usally read the recent comments but its different with certain scripts, e.g: http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74519 in this forum as u can see it ran flawless for some people yet for others it would crash often.

thanks for feedback, gonna edit the forum a bit
