    Default Previous botting offence.

    Hey,

I received an email from Jagex, when Ibot was made illegal. Does this mean If I use Simba I'm still entitled to being sued by them?

    Thanks

    Dan

if your afraid of being caught i recommend not botting at all, i wouldnt be one tiny bit worried about the email, i bot because i dont care if i get caught (although of course i dont want to), noone should bot if they afraid of getting banned/rolled

dont worry of the sueing thing, if they were to sue every bot they wouldnt have enough lawyers in us to do it lol

I'm not afraid of the ban, I'm afraid of everyone being personally prosecuted like they threatened too. Did you use Ibot too then?

Well at the moment i wouldn't be worried, but if you are not sure, don't bot. I would recommend you not to use an injection/reflection bot though. I'm not sure, but i think they can track you using that kind of bot. I myself have botted over 2500 hours on my main, never had any problems or any warnings etc. I think that with simba you are safe from a ban, a lawsuit is probably not likely.

Did you receive and email from jagex? About Ibot?

    This was in the email

"If you ignore our offer and instead continue use botting software, we reserve our rights to pursue statutory damages against you for between $200 to $2,500 per act of past, present, and/or future botting,"

No i didn't, but i know people who have received this email. They are still botting, they just don't overdo it like i do. I mean i bot 10-12 hours a day (always have been). If i were you i'd just bot like 2-3 hours babysitting the script. 6 hours is possible too as long as you babysit the script! Then you will have a minimum chance of getting caught and thus no lawsuit.

If they catch you. They may charge you, if you decline to pay up, people get taken to court over £40 ($80) in the UK, so it is possible for them to do it, if they wanted.

Oh and if you're wondering about court costs, we have this system in the UK, where if you lose the case, you pay your own court/lawyer cost as well as your "opponents".

The reason that they can charge you is because you bought illegal products. They can't sue you for botting tho.
