Default Dubstep just being a phase?

Remembering I had phases for many genres, do you think Dubstep is just here for couple years and than it'll die out and not be as popular as it is today in the future?

Because, surely once I grow a bit older, les' say around the 40s, I'd probably laugh about how silly I was jammin' out to robot music lol.

I've listened to dubstep for a long time, and I think there will always be a niche group for it.

It's alright, don't love it but don't hate it. I think in the next 4-5 years something else will come about replacing it like usual though.

very few genres of music just disappear, especially ones that you can remix quite easily with your own computer and some free software. I believe DubStep is in for the long haul, but ya... its a fad right now. I love it though

Oh, and fads run in cycles, maybe when we are 40 it will have cycled back harder than ever.

I think it´s a phase as every Music genre. Some taking longer untill they are dying. As Weed-Hop its definietly the most listened music genre by People below 25 and I think dubstep will be grow up for another 5-10 years then something else and more strange will be there and got into the place for the Stoners (So I saw that it´s not only Stoner music anymore lot´s of people never taken any drugs listen to it too. Nice changing ).

I will try to answer all Runescape related questions!

In my experience it's accually the kind of music that isn't that great at first but once you start listening more it gets even better.

But yea... music always changes, dubstep flows together with other styles and many new genres/sub-genres grow, but die out?.. I dont think so ;]

Dubstep is not going to die out. Look at Korn. There new album has every song with dubstep in it. More and more artists are listening to dubstep and our generation now it going to adapt to it.

As mentioned it will peak (or maybe already has) and then only diehards will listen to it. I have a couple songs on my phone (lol and no not just skrillex)

Phase I don't think so. Most of the genres of music I used to listen to, I still enjoy.

    Liquid Dubstep FTW
